Often, when I set a production building to produce 0 of something it will reset itself to producing 1 of that something.
For example: the fletcher shop. I only want to produce arrows. So i set the arrow production slider to 1, and the bow production slider to 0. Everything looks good. The settings hold. Half an hour later i check on my resources and their are more bows than expected. I check the fletcher the the bows are set to 1.
This happens with all the production facilities that have ratio sliders.
It doesn’t matter if a facility is upgraded or not.
And to answer the question, no, upgrading did not cause a reset in ratios.
As far as I can tell, the trigger for increasing items set at a “0” ratio is the autosave. Manual saves don’t have any impact ,but after autosaves it seems like ratio production of “0” is increased to “1”. Any ratio set to a value greater than “0” does not change.
I watched this for fletchers, forges, and foundries. It happens to all of them. I didn’t watch for the change in any other buildings.
No, what I’m saying about upgraded buildings not mattering is that the building can be upgraded or not and this will happen. I am not talking about the ratio reset when a building goes through the upgrade process.
The ratios don’t all reset to a default. Any ratio set at “1” or higher is not altered.
Only ratios set to “0” are altered, and the only thing that happens is that they go up to "1’.
The autosave happens, and all ratios at “0” are bumped up to “1”. No load action happens. I am sitting there looking at the buildings screen looking at the ratios set to “0”. Auto-save starts. Building details window blinks closed. Then when auto-save completes the building window re-opens itself with all previously marked “0” no set to “1”.
