A small suggestion regarding the leveling guide: personally I’d recommend 1-point Summon Familiar + max Mend Flesh instead of Oleron’s Rage. With improved pet AI in the latest version, the heal works like a charm.
My reasoning is simple: with a good weapon (such as easily obtainable Farmstead Liberator), by L40 you’ll have all the DPS you need and more. At the same time in Act 4 Veteran your survivability will tank. You’re a glass cannon melee fighter and as you encounter huge crowds packed with knockdown-immune enemies BA doesn’t protect you as nicely anymore. While the loss of OA from Oleron’s is regrettable, in return you get a ~20% HP heal with a short c/d. Combined with Blooddrinker and an occasional health pot it makes you unstoppable.
All other options are, IMO, worse. You still want your Soldier mastery maxed out even w/o Oleron’s because you need that health pool and DA. For the same reason you want Field Command - DA is important. So Blood of Dreeg is just too far away and it’s more about steady regen, not the burst heals you need. Lastly, you can get Dryad before Kraken but that’s less healing than Mend Flesh and delaying Kraken sucks.
I can’t say exactly but something like this: http://grimcalc.com/build/ZLzKFRd
After L40, continue with your Soldier Mastery and get Oleron’s Rage (it is a great skill for Elite where enemies are tougher).
I wouldn’t farm for it specifically. It’s pretty common for a blue item so there’s a good chance it’ll drop for you somewhere. If not, any slow high damage 2H weapon that gives a bonus to physical or bleed damage will do just fine.
Bone scythe implies you were using a 2 hander at L35 which is what most people use at the very early levels until the point where you can switch to 1h/shield and not be gimped for DPS. Not sure what that point is, maybe level 50-60-70?
Plenty of people in this thread switched at 35 when you can get a decent bone scythe from the secret vendor, which is a one hand weapon.
If your content playing to lvl 75 with blade arc that’s cool too.
But my experience was that your dps is not gimped, and your survivability is incredible.
Playing from 35 to 75 my only deaths were from elite log which was just due to not caring and just rushing him.
I really couldn’t see myself waiting till 75 to play the actual build.
