[1.0.0.4] Tri-element Saboteur 2.0 - A (mostly) craftable build. 15sec madqueen etc

It’s also a shame that it only works with caster offhands

What’s the best choice for the quest “The Aetherial Witch”, for this build, and for a first character (in Normal)?

Doesn’t really matter for this build. For a first timer I’d suggest being friends with her for her additional quests. You can hit max level faster with her quests, have access to additional armor augments for resists which may be useful depending on the gear you find, and her writs (give 2x rep gain for respective faction) will be semi useful on other characters even though she is fairly easy to hit revered on but hitting them sooner for earlier access to her gear certainly won’t hurt :stuck_out_tongue:

You could hit revered with her and buy what you want from her, then betray her in ultimate if you’d like. She is probably a tough fight for newer players, but she’s a decent person to farm legendaries off if you can kill her quickly and she has a legendary that is specific to her/only drops from her which is really good and you’ll end up using someday if you stick with GD

I’m really unlucky with find this items.

don’t have the recipes for any of the items for this build.

couldn’t find any so far.

I’m in act 3 on ultimate difficulty.

so far I’ve found like 50 legendaries. none of them for this build :(.

the only things I have are the weapons and this build still instant kills almost everything.

The best part about builds with a lot of craftable stuff is you can ask people to craft them for you. A lot of people in GD community are more than happy to craft shit for no extra cost if you ask! I can craft any of this crapola if you’re interested, but I know for some people it doesn’t feel right to just have someone craft it all for you :stuck_out_tongue:

ty! but
I want to go full self found without help.

might take a bit more time tho it’s more enjoyable.

Are 2 ortus swords better than the elite firestarters for this build?

No. The advantage of the firestarters comes from they fact that they are pure fire damage. Ortus is physical with 28% pierce. Only ~15% of that is converted to fire damage. So, much worse.

This. I did exactly the same, did not bother to respec until I finished veteran and hit lvl 50. CB and greater fireblast can carry you all the way.

Any tips for gear to craft at level 40?

I am doing decent damage (though not great AoE), however I am very squishy.

Same here.

respec`d on lvl 40, and survivability dropped to zero.

It looks like Life-leech rings\amulet and haunted steel is an absolute must.

I would say 15%-20% ADCTH should be enough at lvl 40-50. Make sure you have Pneumatic Burst as well. When switching to dual wield, the transmuter is a must. For gear, just use whatever faction gear you can get combined with yellows/greens from drops. You don’t need much gear for normal. However, I don’t recommend switching until level 50.

I respected at 38 because I’m impatient… Was a little slower than using flint core bolts, so probably jumped the gun a little… but survivability didn’t seem like too much of an issue. Haunted still is definitely a must. I also bumped blast shield up to lv 8 and had pneumatic burst at lv 10. Just took some points form flame touched…(that was a DPS hit, but still cleared quickly).

I crafted some adept’s gear (head/gloves/greaves), it has +elemental damage and just looked for some with good resists. They appear to scale with your level depending on the affixes so they worked out well. I also crafted some fire implements to make sure I was using fire weapons to kill fast.

Another thing that might help is to use the crucible early for some extra devotion points. The cost scales based on how many devotion points you have, so the earlier you buy them, the better. Might even be a good idea to skip some shrines in act one until you can buy a number from the crucible and then go back and pick them up. I completed the chariot mid act 3 and that heal helps with the survivability. I’ve now finished veteran and have 35 devotion points… I think if I would have waited to get some shrines it shouldn’t be too hard to actually finish veteran with 40+ devotion points…

Lv 50 does open up a lot more nice gear. Outcast’s has some nice chest and shoulder pieces…

I did the same thing. I agree with the other posters that it’s probably best to way until 50 to respec, but obviously that doesn’t help you now.

The hardest part is getting through the first few levels. Once you have some points in Pneumatic Burst it gets a lot easier. Getting Shadow Strike helps a lot too because it allows you to jump past the melee mobs and take out the high damage ranged mobs quickly.

Make sure you’re taking plenty of defensive gear and getting your important resists up. Add some Components to your gear to help compensate for where you’re lacking.

Don’t be afraid to switch to Normal for a while too. It won’t slow you down nearly as much as dying in Veteran will, and once you hit 50 and get some decent gear it’ll be smooth sailing. Currently level 65 on my character and breezing through Elite difficulty.

About how much is the highest you can get from elite firestarters. Best I’ve rolled so far was 183% fire dmg and 10% attack speed. I think I saw 186 once but only had 8% speed.

Thanks for that.

I am trying to find ways of boosting my ADCTH% without using a Haunted Steel as I am struggling to obtain Vengeful Wraiths. Are there any other ways, I am thinking that there must be some Epics obtainable in Normal difficulty that have this mod?

Breath of Belgothian is a must? Is that the correct skill you are referring to? I don’t think I have that yet.

Also interested in seeing what daggers people are using at around level 40.

Start by putting Hollowed Fangs in your weapons. After that farm merchants for 4%-7% ADCTH gear. It shouldn’t take more than 10-15 minutes if you check Devil’s Crossing and Homestead then log out and in again. You can also put 3 points in the Ghoul devotion for 4% more. Yes, Breath of Belgothian is a MUST. The daggers would be whatever ones you can find with fire damage on them. If you are switching at level 40 the build should look something like this.

Hit lvl 45 this morning.
Things got a bit tougher after homestead, while still using canister and fireball.
Mainly for the lack of defence, and lowish life.
Finished veteran, and just cleaning up shrines, and doing some legion bounty to get to lvl 50.

All and all it’s probably been one of my best levelling experiences I’ve had in grim dawnZ

Definitely agree with this. TBH I missed the Cannister Bomb playstyle a bit after respeccing.

42 saboteur ATM.
lvl 5 PB with breath.
haunted steel done
9-17% Lifesteal. (haunted steel lifesteal ring and amulet)

Still died 2 times to salazar. doesn`t feel even like glass cannon…

it became better, but still a bit disappointing… at least i feel lifesteal now…

UPD2
level later…
upped lifesteal a bit
+2 to blast shueld+1 to flashbang. Better now, but still it`s not an old dota naix)
