Plenty of Savagery warder builds out there so I read a few, picked up pieces that I liked and kinda smushed it all together. Feel free to offer suggestions or let me know where I can optimize further.

I keep Stormcage Legguards, Golemborn Greaves and Ultos’ Stormseeker in my bag, Crystallum and a Meatshield in my swap slot.

Most damage dealt was in the Crucible with buffs up (clearly). Most damage taken was probably Rashalga making pudding with my face.

I’m just a little confused that you choose Stormreaver as your weapon of choice and relegate Ultos’ axe to second-string status.

Any reason why?

I actually get better DPS with the Stormreaver. +2 all skills, more +lightning damage and a ranged skill that does a ton of damage (8k - 19k lightning + 6k-11k electrocution that can affect up 12 targets). The full set bonus for Ultos is trash and I don’t have Ulzuin’s headpiece yet for more deeps.

Also because my Stormseeker has Oleron’s blood on it and I’ve been too lazy to farm enough to make another Haunted Steel :o

I wouldn’t call flat lightning dmg on lightning build trash.

Tempest flat RR, elemental storm flat rr and BSoD flat rr dont stack, so imho pick one and drop other. I dont see much point in having primal strike and savagery on same build, those points would serve you better elsewhere, but if you like it like that its ok.
Also slight change in devotions would help you cap resistances.
Do something with OA, your high crit multy doesn’t mean jack shit with that amount of OA, and no 50 something from TotB is not nearly enough to fill the gape.

Idk, wouldn’t a Savagery on LMB, CD Primal Strike on RMB for crowds work reasonably well (and wring the most benefit from the Ultos set)?

You have plenty of aoe for crowd w/o primal strike and if he really wants more storm totem is better option.

Storm Totem feels pretty anemic unless it’s pumped to ridiculous levels (and even then it doesn’t feel that strong). I use Storm Totem on my QJ ele and I’m honestly pretty unimpressed with it, even though it’s at 26/16. I mean, when I pile up a Storm Totem, a Wendigo Totem and a Storm Shard (Light’s Defender item skill) things do die, but they don’t really die terribly fast.

I agree innate dmg of storm totem is weak but if you couple it with some devotion proc like raging tempest or elemental storm, every totem can proc it independently…

I actually have trouble getting Storm Totems to proc Reckless Tempest. At least, I have trouble noticing it actually occurring.

2182 isn’t that low. Though that is with Flame Touched up.

(Without it it’s only about 1955. So that might actually be my problem.)

EDIT: No, wait, because Flame Touched does augment nearby allies, and I don’t usually drop Storm Totem that far away.

2182 is actually pretty low by Ultimate standards. Something like 2400 and above is recommended. Plus some way to debuff enemy’s DA.

Well, now I need to figure out how I’m going to get another ~200 OA.

2182 is way to low for anything, much less for procs that are on crit.

With that amount your chance to hit some harder target ie nemesis is much less than 90% thus your chance to crit is 0%.

P.S. Even 2.4k is low end.

Really? I mean, I was critting Fabius with QJ spam (though I get the impression that he isn’t exactly a DA dynamo or anything). Don’t think I’ve tried Iron Maiden on the QJ ele, though. (Not sure I want to, because I have a feeling it won’t go well.)

It’s a mark to shoot for, at this point. Just need to figure out how I’m going to do it.

You used flash bangs to shred his DA, so you actually had some chance to crit but it was probably really low :wink:

Hm.

Now the thing is, I actually don’t know how to wring any more OA out of this toon. I might be able to get a LITTLE more flat OA by changing my weapon component from Amber to something like Oleron’s Blood, but that isn’t that much.

I’m going to have to tear this whole damn thing down in GDStash/Defiler and start from scratch.

Probably will have to do the same with my Warder and Witchblade too.

This is seriously going to consume me now. I must figure this out. I don’t know if it’s devotions or gear or stats, but I have to figure this out.

Check in my pure soldier thread. Chance to crit Fabius with 2.2k something OA when Blindside -270 DA shred is applied is something like 14%

I just checked your OA amount, I made a mistake in previous post your chance to crit with 2180 is not 0% but something like 5% and chance to hit is 95%, talking about Fabius here. But again that’s way to low to proc RT in some meaningful amount :wink:

I just tried Iron Maiden and I had ~80 percent chance to even hit. No chance to crit. I’m not surprised, honestly.

Look at it this way. He gets to learn from my mistakes about neglecting OA. It’s a learning thread.

Yeah, I’ve been looking for ways to get my OA and DA up. Judicator’s signets pumped it up quite a bit but less damage and other goodies. Switching to Stormseeker doesn’t help that, it’s definitely less OA.

Well that sucks, I didn’t realize all flat RR’s didn’t stack. That makes me sad. BSoD has nice chaos res and lifesteal so I’ll probably keep that. Wind Devil is still great for proccing devotions so maybe I can use it for something else. Would you recommend ditching Rhowan’s Crown entirely?

Primal Strike is a 3-point investment for a stun, aoe and devotion trigger. With all the plus skills on my equipment, it does a fair chunk of damage. What about points in Markovian’s Advantage or Fighting Spirit for DA shred or + OA?
