Wish there was some communication from Crate on why are they deciding 1 year after release to fully re-work the entire game - from aesthetics (that god horrible lighting which kills the entire mood and atmosphere), unneeded nerfs everywhere (yet again) and unneeded OA buff (+ Zantai admitted buffing most Undead mobs but not reflected in patch notes…).
A gem of a game, but this artificial push to have a single player game`s meta change every patch, just so we provide incenitive to try different builds (while killing your old ones) is beyond logic.
Does anyone know if the monster OA is still being worked on after the first hotfix? Just wondering because my Primal Strike warder is getting destroyed in the crucible now where before I was fairly comfortable. I don’t want to start tweaking him if the OA is going to come down. Thank you
I’m just going to throw my 2 cents in the topic and agree that globaly changing the OA scaling system after almost a year from the official release date is a bad idea.
It now forces us to change and adjust builds that we’ve finished leveling half a year ago and we do not have the ability to take away points from mastery tree and/or atributes to fill in the needed gaps without using external mods.
I’m sorry Crate, I love you guys, but this is just a bad decission.
Not completely - they still buffed the OA on mobs on Ultimate with 5% (down from 10% in original 1.0.0.7) - it breaks quite a few builds… As the guy above said - Love you Crate but 1.0.0.7 is ridden with bad decissions - please reverse them.
Ben’Jharr had around 0,4% chance to crit me in 1.0.0.6 and now he has around 1% chance to crit my Elementalist with 2144. Much better than the previous 5,4%.
If the difference in being broken is jumping from 1% chance to be crit to 5% chance to be crit from a nemesis of all things (y’know, the things that are supposed to be the strongest enemies in the game), then that build has deeper problems than a monster OA boost.
Or it creates ala powercreep effect with buffing enemies an year after release however without our characters having had extra source of power boost - if i build and designed a build so i can not be hit/crit and i suddenly start doing so - makes no sense. Why should i be punished?
And that is the effect on chars with 2k+ DA. Caster and glasscannons are nearly unplayable atm - based on comments on the boards.
You’re gonna love the expansion then because guess what is going to happen with that. Power creep.

After a while you learn to take hyperbolic complaints with a grain of salt. People tend to treat small differences like they are the end of the world, especially after a new patch. In a week or so they will be used to it and you likely wont ever here about it again. At least until the next patch anyways.
Iunno, I kinda just killed every nemesis on a glasscannon with 1700DA.
‘Based on comments on the boards’ is not something you should base any conclusions off of. Hell, don’t even believe my comment above. Go actually play it for yourself and see what’s up.
You know, I’m starting to guess “who” is behind all these changes happening to the game and throwing a wrench at build diversity…
I’m not even going to be surprised if it was you who asked the devs to increase the cooldown of energy pots because you can faceroll everything with your broken toons.
Start your witch hunt elsewhere then because neither change was my idea - or any of the playtester’s ideas for that matter. As for a “wrench in build diveristy”, my suggestions have done far more to increase it than reduce it.
