[1.0.0.9] Shadowstrike Spellbreaker: 17s Dummy, 4s Madqueen, Kill Cronley before his Maiven's

I always leveled with SS, its super fast anyways, so feel free to change whenever you have suitable gear, or just feel like using it.

How are ya’ll handling the extra devotion points? Where should they be going?

Murmur !
Still would like to see an update to this build

Agree! This is the char ive done most damage with. By far… Fun as hell to play but soooo weak.

At lvl 95 with updated gear i only have 10k hp and die veeeery easy. So a good update would be awesome. With some focus on defense also =)

I’m not sure about endgame, but I was definitely finding myself a bit squishy in early ultimate.

Malmouth Chillbearer from Malmouth Rep and Ghoul Devotion really helped a ton.

Drop Leviaphan/stuff, they are borderline useless for build, if you conseder real dmg output impact. Pick Targo stuff and all life you can get in devotions.

I hope you have something to back that claim buddy  OP backed this build with images and videos proving Lev. and stuff is pretty damn useful

How’s this build doing nowdays?

This build has 2500%+ cold dmg with myphical gear. Leviathan provide a whooping 3% dmg increase from nodes including flat cold and some non-existant dmg from proc. Just to pick Leviaphan you are forced to stack Scolar light, Wolverine, and Owl. Thats 12 nodes with close to zero gain from them.

There was no such gear a half a year ago…Jeez  Maybe there are people that don’t have expansion yet? Lev is a good choice for this particular build.

edit: as far as I can tell, ( http://www.grimtools.com/calc/62aPAON4 ) this build has 2000% cold damage boost and 1850% frostburn boost. 10% of that is from Lev…and I am not even taking Lev proc into account, and that thing is a huge damage on crit

Scholar light = flat dmg, % increase in dmg, energy regen
Wolverine = DA that you so desperately need
Owl = tbh never managed to cap resistance w/o empty throne but if I was able to do it I would pick Owl if for noting than for reflect dmg reduction and -% skill energy consumption

As for update to this build you should aim something like this: http://www.grimtools.com/calc/qNYPmMWZ
Ofc its not tested cuz I dont have the gear for it and some gear could/should be modified (ie. daggers could be changed for Lox ones, etc)

Thanks JoV. Will have a look at this one.

Almost the same DMG output, but 30% more life, more OA/DA, 3% max resistance. And i see absolutely no reason to use scale hide in expansion with whoooping average 1.8k armor . 500 reduction from flat phyz dmg? When everyone hit like a truck >_>

If ~20% dmg less on top on some 12% crit and two devo procs lost is almost same dmg for you than its ok.

Also about scaled hide I dont even remotely agree, losing ~500 armor is never smart thing to do.

12% Crit loss is compensated by OA. 20% less dmg vs 30% health gain? You dont count fontain running time when counting DPS, dont you? :stuck_out_tongue:
As for armor - stuff hit for 7-9k phyz dmg per hit. Im too lazy to do the math but my guts tell me that 900 HP >> 500 armor in nearly all encounters.

From every separate source of each attack. It’s thousands or even dozens of thousands damage you miss every second.

~130 OA do not nearly compensate 12% crit especially on heavy dot build.
20% dmg vs 30% HP, for build like this its not a mater of choice to me, this is dmg oriented build not a tank.
I dindt quite understood your remark about running time. If you were pointing out on ~5 more movement speed, come on its SS build, you dont run you SS :stuck_out_tongue:

For builds with high HP regeneration, that can fill that HP lost when hit by trash mobs and that goes trough armor, your math could be ok, on this one hardly. Tho personally, I would always chose 500 armor.

Also I just checked devotion procs addition on total dmg output on my old build, just not having those devo procs is about ~6% additional dmg lost. Tho I tested only twice and could be wrong.

Exactly this, specially when you are surrounded by trash.

I agree about all-dmg build showcase, in this case dmg>>everething.
Remark was about random death from random oneshots due to low health
Still not sure why you chose armor. You should one-shot or permafreeze all trash mobs/heroes. From something big and nasty 500 armor with close to zero phyz resist is almost nothing.

Logic is simple, having more armor or in this case armor adsorption allows you to ignore more efficiently most part of trash mobs and dmg they inflict upon you, thus concentrate just on primary targets (hero/bosses).
About big and nasty things, you use mirror/nulification and put them down before they can inflict you some serious dmg.
Its simple glass cannon logic, kill them before they can kill you, that’s why having more dmg on this build is much more valuable than HP/DA, even resistances.

Ofc this kind of build is not everyone cup of tea, but personally I enjoyed it a lot, its like floating on the edge of a blade if you get my point.
Making it more tanky, investing more in maivens, mirror, HP, etc, somehow kills the concept. If you play well, amount of defense you have is more than enough to keep you alive.
