And? That just gives you 3 extra skill points to put elsewhere
He doesn’t have all the gear yet. Loxmere (since he doesn’t seem to have Crescent moon) is too big to sacrifice (+1SS < + tons of damage to existing SS + CDR + stuff… )
edit: 2x Spectral longsword gives +4 to SS only, he doesn’t have 3 points to put elsewhere…
My point is there’s no such this as “you are wasting 3 points to SS” since it frees up 3 points to put in elsewhere.
You saying “If you choose weapons that will give you +4, you are wasting 3 points to SS.” Is completely false
To put them where? To some abysmal skill that he doesn’t need? he is lvl 79, he has all the skills that he needs by now, the only two that you go over default are lethal assault and shadow strike. Everything else is under the default cap or at the cap…Or at least that’s how it should be.
besides, none of those points will give him what loxemere dagger does, almost 300% cold damage, 40 attack, SS cdr, those are like taking ~3 more SS points. So, in this particular build, with the weapons he suggested, +4 to SS with spectral longswords is a waste of 3 points.
literally meh
This isn’t about loxmere vs spectral longsword for his build
yes, it was actually all about that.
We (excluding you now) were discussing what weapons to use, for this build, for lvl 79 char, to max or not max SS, which ones are better etc.
Hum ^^ it’s ok guys thank for answering ! I made my choice since, i use 2 spectal and BTW the spectral sword also have 0.2 modifier to Shadow strike CD as like Loxemere
Well, that will depend on primary and secondary rolls (affix and sufix), looking at what +2 SS gives you at going from 22 to 24 - you get +42 cold and piercing damage and +12% weapon damage. From sword you get 17-33 cold damage and +38% cold damage. This is assuming you keep one Spectral L. to be at 22 and then add another to get to 24.
Keeping one and adding Loxmere’s Frostblade (no affix/sufix included here) gives you -
34-74 Cold Damage
51 Frostburn Damage over 3 Seconds
+5% Crit Damage
+78% Cold Damage
+40% Frostburn Damage
15% Cold Resistance
…so you get more damage and cold res (if that even matters to you), overall, SS 22 with loxmere’s should hit harder than SS 24 with Spectral Longsword.
Obviously it would depend on what affix/sufix you have on those weapons, I looked at just base stats of them as shown here:

Cheers.
Well i 'll try the mixte 1 spectral + 1 lox thank
