[1.0.0.9] Shadowstrike Spellbreaker: 17s Dummy, 4s Madqueen, Kill Cronley before his Maiven's

The devs balancing the game based on builds that people have cheated feel painfully wrong.

Cheated? Man, I have all the BiS gear for this build and found it by myself. Just takes time and a lot of luck.

Also, just wait. We don’t know yet, what the Devs are going to do. I hope, they will buff Nightblades on another end to make up for the nerf. But, lets see.

LOL  Some people have all that gear self-found (isn’t JoV pure self-found with over 5k hours into the game ?), and you don’t need perfect items to feel the bullshit that Coldbreakers are.

I’m only 500 or so hours in (relatively low for an ARPG in the grand scheme of things), and by trading/having items crafted I’m only missing perfect MIs. I still have some that are good enough to use though.

If you don’t have all the gear ready there are less gear dependent variants on this build all over the forums. I’m sure people would give you pointers on how to fill the holes with easily found items too.

Or you could play one of the many good builds that work very well on low items.

Deathmaker set is quite common, ive found 4 of them so far. Crescent moon too. The rings can take some time to drop, ive got mine in 6 hours . BiS MI pants and godlike boots of shiny opieness is another story, but you can actualy live without them.
HC viable version of this build is still broken as hell, so id say some “balance” must be done :stuck_out_tongue:

I’d say that LUCK is a big factor in loot finding in almost every aRPG. And since this game isn’t very popular, requiring high dosage of luck is not really a good thing. imho, they should get rid of some crap (blue) items that no one uses or is forced to use because nothing better dropped. That would increase “luck”.

My point is that, what was common for one player, may be very rare for someone else. For me, DM set is super rare. Just an example.

I am not complaining though. When I got fed up, I just cheated. I play solo, so no harm done outside of my game. I am glad that there was an option for me to cheat since that held me in the game when otherwise I would have just uninstalled.

update to the 4 piece Deathmark variant of this build… thanks for actually posting the devo setup, copied it a bit along with the skills :p. I dropped behemoth in favor of blizzard… my only gripe is can’t take the other last node of leviathan, that would have push dps to 80k . …

-edit…adjusted devo a bit… dps might go higher by taking last right side node of leviathan with all its frostburn glory but sadly I dont want to give up on blizzard since it’s a very nice company!

Hello all,

Trying to loosely base my character on this build and guide but I’m having difficulty with a few things such as which skills to level with, which gear and weapons to look out for that I should be leveling with, and if I should be using my augment pieces on leveling gear or saving them. Things of that nature. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Full disclosure I am at level 29 right now and this is my first real playthrough of the game on normal soft core.

Take arcanist class first then max OFF, 1 point CT, then rush to Star Pact, 1 point Shadow strike, just clear trash mob til you get a good tanky set (like Praetorian set) then reset skills and farm purple gears, lastly farm MI items.

850 hours in , I found the deathmark weapons and still no Crescent moon .

No they are not easy to find , just because you were lucky .

Hey, currently rolling this build so I have a question, how would you go about making it a bit more tanky at the cost of damage?

I’m playing hardcore so obviously I’m looking to shift the build a bit and I will try my own changes but you guys are much more knowledgeable so I’m just wondering how you would make it ‘hardcore viable’ although I don’t like this expression since player’s decision making also account for a lot when playing/dying.

So yeah, lose damage from mastery to pick up maiven or max mirror? Change devotion a bit for more defence? Change some gear around?

Thanks!

Hey there,

you could put on “Mark of Divinity” as circuit breaker. It will drop your dps a bit of course. Also, if you dont mind if dualwield, but you like the cold thing there is a similar build for blademaster with shield. It deals a LOT less damage, but thats the version I would take for hc

If you want to go crazy safe at the cost of even more damage, you could use MoD for this build, too - and you would need to play very drunken style to die then. Im using the shield version from time to time to farm things in vanilla - but since my dw bm is faster and not dying either, I prefer him.

Hey, got one right now in Sot Misery in the devo shrine room grave chest.

Low stats 70/75% Cold/frosburn 13 conversion. Too low to keep them for me, but I would gladly give it to you.

Follow this guide.

Challenger or Gladiator Crucible farming is the way to go. With good party will be very fast and effective.

I have about 5XX hours. 50% is crucible farming. I get a lot of legendaries. Plenty of trash(I think I throw away about 70% of my loots :stuck_out_tongue: ), but there’re many good greens and purples too.

I had full DM set about 3-4 copies(I traded away many too), 3-4 crescent moon . And complete most sets with a copies of many sets.

[Too lewd for you]

What do you guys think about using the Shard of Asterkarn instead of the Loxmere’s Frostblade? Getting one with the right attributes is so damn hard… considering that the frostblade’s drop rate is already pretty low.

Olexra’s Chill offer the same performance as a godroll Loxmere dagger, its even noticed in the guide. :x

I know it’s written in the first page, but i never found one :frowning:
Basically i’m looking for a good substitute for those weapons.

its blacksmith craft, if you dont have the blueprint double Crescent Moon is prolly the best option.

This is what i thought also, but then what happen to the devotion Oklaine’s lantern? It says it requires a scepter/dagger/caster’s off-hand… am i wrong?

it shouldn’t work if you don’t have a dagger, so, afaik, replacing dagger with a mace needs a different build.
