I agreed with the part where you say that JoV is a cool guy.
He is.
Unfortunately, I also agreed with the rest of your post, as well.
BoMs are bullshit to roll for.
Back around launch, I rolled several hundred of them, to see what popped up.
I got… two +5 ones.
I like to pretend that my characters who use those two live in an alternate universe wherein those two rolled legit amidst the useless several other legit resources rolled ones.
You shouldn’t scrap Rends/Dread and just trade them. I have 3 Anguish 1 Dread and not a single SoulRend in something that is coming really close (if it isn’t already more) to 100 runs.
How about Belgothian’s charge vs Nemesis? Is there any debate for one relic vs the other? It seems Nemesis would be better if not just for the +1 to nightblade and higher cold %
Belgothian Carnage is better because of the proc which reduce the CD of your skills. Using Shadow strike more often is much better than doing a bit more (just a bit) damage.
1.Can you please explain the Olerons Blood on the main hand weapon- is it only for the 2% offensive ability ?
2.The same with the Focusing prism on the amulet - the 5% crit damge ( maybe the +18 spirit as well for requirements )
3. Is the 2nd weapon way better than a offhand ?
For reference here is my Grimtools link, any advice/tips/improvements will be highly appreciated.
It gives 2% speed not OA. It’s used as another damage source. It hits with both hands for 350% WD, has a 50% crit modifier, and has internal trauma damage we can convert into frostburn. Very strong ability on builds with tons of flat damage. The damage reduction is very nice too though not as much on this build since it kills sooo fast
Purely for crit damage. If you don’t need this slot for health/resists than this is easily the best damage gain
Far better. You would need an unattainable amount of cooldown reduction for it to outdps a 2nd weapon
That being said high cdr shadow strike is fun. On swap I have a weapon with riftstone for extra dash and an offhand with cdr. Provides truly insane mobility for maximum farm power
As Elementoid’s guide says, Olexra’s Chill is as good as Loxmere’s Dagger.
You could also try out Nex, Deathmarked Claw, or a godly rolled Enchanted Cold Implement.
All but Olexra’s Chill will result in DPS loss though.
This build is pretty nasty indeed; just encountered my first nemesis (the aetherial one) and he went down like nothing. Pretty dquishy for a melee build (mostly because of the archmagi and the enemies that explode upon death :furious:). I know this build is gonna get nerfed, but even a 10% nerf wouldn’t harm this build’s viability. (oh no itll take a whole 8 seconds instead of 6 to kill the strongest enemies literally unplayable)
There’ll always be an op class or build in any game, so who cares? Why nerfing something that is enjoyable? when people gets bored of the same char they’ll play a different one.
It’s easy, don’t nerf but make other classes better or similar (enjoyable to play)
