I am leveling up a witchblade at the moment who i’m planning to use as a dw chaos cadence build. I have a lot of the gear needed for this build lying around too, so how does this build do in the regular game (non-cruci)?
For MC it’s quite slow for my taste since I usually use DW builds who bursts everything within a few hits to do MC farming. Ofc you can be more offensive devotion wise if you want with still no real risks of dying. Shields just tend to be slow in campaign not just this one.
Lokarr is easy, I have no Ravager experiences but since this is a tank DOT naturally it has a chance. Worst case you can just respec to one of the many specialized WB out there to kill him easily.
Hi, first thx for the guide, it’s one of my first toon on this game and I enjoy it a lot. This being said there is something I dont understand, maybe because I am still a noob^^
Why do you use Sylvaria’s essence in ring and amy?? with blood of dreeg up I already hit 84% poison resist so what’s the point??? Is it important to overcap resist for some debuff in crucible? ATM I use survivor ingenuity instead and it looks fine; but I didn’t try crucible highest waves yet.
It’s simply for more OA. Octavius has minimal OA bonus so you might need to use whatever you have. Beside that I find this build to survive just fine in 150-170 without the 6% DA from Survivor’s Ingenuity so let’s speed things up a bit.
If you want to feel more safe then 3x Survivor’s Ingenuity is absolutely fine.
Ty for the answear but it is still weird to me xD Ingenuity gives 2%OA 2%DA and +20% total damage damage. 1% oa speed things more than 20% total damage???
I’ll go for something like this myself https://www.grimtools.com/calc/gZwApyK2 but yours is probably fine too. I just hate having fillers like Lizard and Wraith, also DA and reflected damage reduction from Solemn might be useful (You dont’ have to worry about reflect damage in crucible though)
Sure you can just stay north-east without any trouble
For campaign, you need 80% reflected damage reduction even with Stone Form because there’s a chance you’ll get hit with reflected IT damage while SF is inactive (because either it’s on cooldown or you’re not receiving enough blockable hits to trigger it). Fortunately it’s not too hard to get:
Bulwark of Octavius: 24%
Mythical Sigil of the Bear King: 15%
Solemn Watcher: 20%
Crane: 15% or Autumn Boar: 10%
Kymon’s Fury: 10%
With Autumn Boar and good rolls you’ll only need one Kymon’s Fury. With Crane and great rolls you might not need any.
Cleansing Waters can also be used, but it depends on the presence of an enemy in melee range, is reaction-dependent, and has a significant cooldown.
I have pure soldier lvl 51 atm and cant decide which route I will go. Aiming for physical/internal trauma dmg with good SnB tankines.
Ocultist for Blood of Dreeg HP regen, extra OA, high poison resist, 12% phys damage reduction and spamable Curse of Frailty for -25% physical rezist.
Inquisitor for Deadly aim which gives extra dmg, crit dmg and high %OA boost, Word of Renewal for self heal, DA boost, less dmg from cthonic/Eldirtch, extra HP, boost for physical and internal trauma and aether chaos rezists and Inquisitor seal
Necromancer for Spectral binding(extra OA, perma HP boost and -25% physical rezist) and reaping strike for heal od hit proc. (link below) https://www.grimtools.com/calc/O2GPb16V
Necro seems to me the best option since it allow to alocate more points in to soldier.
Well a pure soldier could even work, that’s how good this set is :D.
Going Death Knight without Mark of Torment is pretty risky though, you will need something to rely on above 150.
Never underestimate the power of Blood of Dreeg. And stats. The witchblade version is naturally tankier than DK because Blood of dreeg phys res and hp regen. And the heal is nothing to laugh about. Gives you another heal besides hp pots. And the DA advantage the DK has isn’t really that significant, so yeah I’d say get mark of torment. Take points from all the overcaps in the soldier passives and reaping strike. The survivability they give isn’t nearly comparable to mark of torment. You also get some OA as a bonus. It seems really low for a 170 build.
If OP is able to clear 170s easily with 2776 OA I dont understand why DK with 2744 OA should have any issues doint the same.
Maxed Blood of Dreeg + maxed Aspect of Guardian without + skills gives: 28%HP restored, 138 OA, 106hp regen, 12% physical dmg reduction and 100 poison rezist. Not to mention You have to spam Curse of Fraitlhy for -25% phys reduction.
28% HP restored is nice, but can be suplement with Dryads blessing devotion which gives only 10% hp restore with only 4s CD and 33% chance to proc.
106 HP regen is nice, but barely noticable on 17k+ HP character.
12% physical rezist from Blood of Dreeg is also nice to have, but DK who already have 37% physical DR and 3,3k armor with 100 absorption is not that big deal since You did not die to physical dmg at all with that stats.
138 OA from Blood of Dreeg vs 112 OA from Spectral binding is not that big difference. Overmaxed Spectral binding gives also perma +1610HP.
If I compare DK and WB grim tools side by side. DK has 3,7k HP more, 200 higher DA, 50 less OA and same armor value(3.3k). Dk lose 106HP regen, 12% physical reduction and 28% heal button. If I drop reaping strike and some points from soldier passives and grab mark of Torment DK become much tankier thanks to 50%damage absorption for 5s and HP difference increase from 3.7k to 4.6k more than witchblade version.
My variation: https://www.grimtools.com/calc/4VxG35b2
Same as Panda’s, but with more damage (Beronath converts burn from amulet into trauma, provides additional 84 OA and 18% crit damage; bloody pox for fast spreading of Assassin’s mark which leads to even more damage) and more survivability (bloody pox modifier for -180 OA to enemies).
Relic craft bonuses are Blindside and Internal trauma.
