1.0.4.0 Spellbinder - successfully conquered gladiator 170 sololy

I don’t understand a lot about arcanist, can someone explain to me what’s different about this build?

In another word , the seemingly impossible is very possible.

Great on paper, terrible in action. Specially against fast bosses
Just try it, or try crucible with it, it’s pure crap.

Somebody has a link to that build? It sounds more promising than the 50000 health build

Pretty sure it was a build using Untouchable shield but i ca’t find it now

Post 9 for screenshots.

Judging by items it’s 1H phys Savagery. It’s also a Warder.

Not to take anything from OP’s achievment but I feel like with new Crucible Grim Dawn took a page from Diablo 3 power creep book. Last time I played D3 (a year ago or so) in high level rifts everyone was deadly no matter how much defense you’ve got so it all came down to cheat-death skill (or couple of those) and juggling between cooldowns.

I mean, cdr is a cool mechanic and gives a lot of cool new build opportunities, but making it the only viable way to kill end-game content is kinda worrying.

BTW my own CT sorc despite having huge cdr, maxed mirror and few shields (and flashbang with transmuted BWC) was torn apart at wave 160 or so. I think it was Kuba + Reaper that was just two much to sustain against.

In my experience the big issue with it was the immense energy cost. Getting 6 mortars out is one thing. Sustaining 6 mortars is another.

While they’re up, though, the damage can be pretty solid and you can focus on surviving.

In the latest patch they added -% energy cost to Dallagon’s helmet thing right? That at least helps the problem…

I know people are using Mortar Trap as the somewhat joke skill here, but I must say it feels badass to have many of these things up at once, raining hell on your enemies (even if it’s a very mediocre hell…). Would that their tracking was better.

well once you get them all up it’s just as expensive as any mortar build. I did a mortar/devastation build pre AOM and it’s doable. Crucible included

I guess I will agree to disagree…
first of all, It matters that what would see in mortar trap. are you going to use it as core damage, or just AOE assistance?
Again, for a lot of times how we set a build doesn’t normally the final version of skill-oriented BD. We reached a ceiling of our ideas but not definitely the ceiling this skill.
Thus, it’s important to change idea to find new spark. :stuck_out_tongue:

You were asking in another thread for more defensive stats on offhands because of stuff like Gladiator 150-170, but then try to do it with 13,6k health (and that’s with blessings) and 2300 DA?

K.

Yes this is the one. Suprise that yo’ll noticed it. He is my GD buddy, one key player in my commnuity. 6000 DA is totally stunning.
But it requires a lot of rare items with specific affixes.

not to rain on the parade, but to me it looks like arcanist, soldier and shaman skills are involved, so basically 6000 cheated DA, but might be mistaken.

You are just very wrong.
You have no idea What a very skillful player is capable of.
It looks like cheating , other than it’s not.

Borderlands 2 was seriously broken all the way. Only thing I say money shot with tons of health regen from skill tree and gear and dual conference call shotguns to send everything beyond hell.

D3 Inferno at release was like that too. Monsters simply hit too hard compared to the defensive stats that players could attain so pretty much the only builds that could successfully do it were the ones that could become completely immune to damage through their spells.[/QUOTE]

life leech/steal and physical damage reduction was king in Inferno. I clreaed the game with my sword and board Barbarian (stormshield, chain of ears was the ony thing I had to trade for), got some life leech/steal on my blade, sprint - run like the wind (always cyrcling around enemies for tornado damage + healing), ignore pain+heal passive and revenge +3 charges for more heals. Not sure what else I used but still have the screenshot of killing diablo in 2012 flying around somewhere. It was one hell of a fun to break through the walls of higher difficulty each act had to offer, but maybe I just enjoy endless torment and pain.

sure, I might be. But I don’t consider facetanking that way. But I don’t deny people their fun. Each player should have the chance to enjoy their way of playing the game. Still, I am surprised you can gauge my knowledge and skill despite knowing literally nothing about me. I would appreciate it if people wouldn’t take it to heart as much. It’s not like I was slapping anyone in the face, just spoke my mind and until proven otherwise I would not deny the possibility of cheating if I don’t know the people in question. To me playing around with Beronath or sword and board in general got so boring, that I wouldn’t even consider trying this build if someone shared a guide, it’s just not what I consider being fun anymore. Sorry if I offended anyone.

nope you didn’t offend anyone. I was only speaking facts. 'cause I’ve seen his build so that I know for sure it’s not cheating. 6000 DA seems impossible. Yes it seem that way. But if you use lots of certain affixes and good use of certain skills in Warden, then it’s there.

ok, seems I got the wrong impression then. Thanks for being honest.

Hi ABC, your concept is really interesting, but I assume it is for experienced player only?

How do you think about magehunter using your setup?
