[1.0.4.1] Components for 2H Weapons

Just wanted to chip in and say-

1. Removing partial components
2. Adding 2 slots to 2h weapons

Both the tasks require immense work. Zantai himself has expressed that if he could remove some things from GD then he’d remove partial component feature altogether but it’s too much work at this point for little reward

As for adding “Potent components” I can’t recall what his answer was. I think he discussed all this stuff in the development stream where he was talking about tech stuff.

Anyways, if I am not mistaken none of the suggestion here are likely to be implemented due to the problematic effort to reward ratio

Would it just be possible to have “potent” components in the same vein as augments, I mean you wouldn’t get the two skills from having two separate components but it’s probably the closest compromise to having 2h weapons get the same or more powerful bonuses from them.

Fine…I’ll explain it again. :eek:

Adding Two Components to weapons would necessitate…

• revising tech and UI for the Inventor’s Dismantling and Salvage systems.
• revising tech and UI for tooltips
• updating Components tech to allow more than one Component on some item types.
• balancing

“Potent” Components for weapons A) does not solve the problem which seems to upset the people who even take issue with this, which is the skills and B) bloats the Component pool and necessitates more item art, blueprints and room to store them.

Both of these involve way too much work for what is ultimately minimal gain, especially at this point in the game’s life-cycle.
