Hi Fluff, thanks for getting back to me. What you said here and already explained in your build guide about the purpose of the build is exactly why I chose to give it a go myself. I just got a little disheartened while leveling up because of having so much trouble defeating the bosses. Since I dont have much experience in the game yet, I am glad you gave some explanation and reassurence that it will work in the end. Maybe, If you have the time, you could add a little leveling up guide and an idea where to put skill points to make leveling up a bit easier.
One more thing if you dont mind: you suggested I should get Oleron Devotion. Is this just for leveling or did you change the devotion tree from the original build? I am following the offensive version you have put in your guide and that one doesnt feature Oleron. Thanks!
So because crucible was so extreme back then I had to tank up in devotions as well. But now it could go for more offense and get Oleron for more dmg and a powerful proc you can bind to Blitz for example.
On your build you just need a better weapon (provided you made the changes and maxed deadly momentum and Break morale) and good resistances.
I will post here a GT of a Markovian offensive version I saved up of tactician so you can use it for Devotions pattern(it’s only devotions and how to bind them). This would give you extra damage and more lifesteal, clear stuff faster. better OA to make your damage matter more. Ghoul gives you staying power for 6 seconds. Never run away while it’s on. Crab proc is also very nice in campaign
Say you have 100 flat Fire damage and you have an item that gives +100% Fire damage. Then lets consider 2 scenarios - one where your current % Fire damage is 0% and one where it is 1000%:
-In the first scenario you would deal 100 + 100% = 200 damage. The item provides a 50% damage increase, something like this would be strong early on.
-In the second scenario, before equipping the item, you would deal 100 + 1000% = 1100 damage and after equipping it, 100 + 1100% = 1200 damage. The item now provides ~a 9% damage increase so less than before.
That Is what I was getting at - more damage will always be more damage sure, but at a certain point, the returns on more start to become less and less and begin to favour increasing your other stats like RR and Crit/OA as damage multipliers, resistances, DA, Armour, ADCtH etc. for staying alive and so on.
Thanks! Still getting destroyed by the endboss at the rogue dungeon in ugdenborg… Cant remember the name right now.
Gargabol is pretty tough so don’t worry about it
I’m assuming his second phase is where you struggled. Some tips I can offer are:
-He reduces your resists overall by 30 and deals Fire/Chaos/Acid so try to overcap these. Taking potions like Bloodbound Ointment might help as well as they provide 25% for free. He also reduces your DA on his normal attacks, consumables like Courageous Tincture can again help if you can’t get any extra DA with your current setup.
-Don’t fight him while standing in his flamethrowers as these will lower your Fire/Chaos resists even further.
-If he bows down, move away as fast as you can as he’ll drop down 2 Fissures underneath you one after another that are capable of killing you in an instant.
-For the above reason, don’t get cocky, stay aware
Hi Superfluff!
Well, i’d never thank you for that build .
At that moment, it was my second build lvl 100 and before i reached full stuff
(Warborn set) pfffffffff was painfull to have it all … 2 months, every day farming ^^
BUT, after, the first time i enter crucible with it, well… it was just pleasure !!
I simply crushed the aspirant and the challenger mods 1-170 and the gladiator
would be same if i hadn’t forgot your advice on the 161-169 waves
(I died on the 169 like a shit)on first try.
But except that stumble i crushed literally the game and every mobs and boss (nemesis included) so,
TY MAN
Any Toggle-skill; Field Command, Presence of Might, Whirling blades and Menhir’s Bulwark are the Toggle skills for this build and you have two devotion procs that is “on hit”
It’s very viable, just tankyer than necessary. It was made to withstand the old unforgiving crucible at 100% facetank. it wasn’t about finishing very fast with this build back then.
I could just make up a more offense orriented GT. For example Barbarros pants instead of the green ones and Oleron DEvotion instead of menhir, hawk, anvil, maybe ghoul. The green ring could also be replaced with a nice epic or legendary
