I want to scroll through my towers using an arrow key. Music, I always turn it off in every game I play, I find it incredibly annoying. The beep is possibly you and your machine doing things at the exact same moment.
The cattle barn beep can be easily reproduced by selecting the cattle barn and then another building repeatedly until the beep plays after the mooing sound. It also only happens for one of the sounds which play when the cattle barn is selected. It happens multiple times in this video:
No, not unless you’ve invented high pitched digital cowbells that only play out of the right audio channel. You can hear the beep sound at ~9s, ~15s, ~17s, ~27s and ~32s.
That or I’m going mad and/or I’ve got an Amazon driver standing behind me constantly scanning parcels with their handheld scanner.
Edit: I’ve run the audio through a 10th order highpass Butterworth filter with a 2KHz cutoff frequency to isolate the beep. The original audio plays first followed by the filtered version.
Only listen to the first ~5 seconds, YouTube wouldn’t let me upload the original 4 second clip for some reason.
Not the obvious cowbell sound right at the start, there’s a beep briefly afterwards that lasts ~0.5 seconds. It could be a problem with my hardware but it seems weird that it only ever happens when that specific audio plays out of the various options for the sounds that play when the barn is selected, and it never happens when I’m doing anything else on my PC.
This is the beep without any of the surrounding audio, which is sort of useless but gives some idea of what to listen for. If people on here really can’t hear this then I’ll leave it, but I’ve asked other people and they can hear it so .
Also here is the waveform to prove to me, if nobody else, that there is indeed something there:
Is the sound not the sound of a metal chain that is moving and internally rattling a bit? The sound doesn’t strike me as odd, although I can’t exactly place it
Curious, are you in the sub 26 age category? Legit except for the one where you full on isolate it, I can’t hear it. But on the initial absolutely “not” there for me. Some sounds don’t correctly register as we age so it could be an odd artifact that younger ears are able to pick up in the noise … just a thought (as a teacher that has had kids use the “sound only kids can hear” to annoy classmates)
