Hello this is a retalitation added to attack based build using Righteous Fervor and Sigil that I created but I am not sure if its correctly fine tuned and would like suggestions:
https://www.grimtools.com/calc/lNklWKb2
Key points of the build:
- 44% retal on Fervor
- 55% block normal with 80% 100% recovery () for 6 seconds 50% of the time via Absolution relic. 3-4k armor with 100% absorb and 36% phys res. There are also various sources of proced or on demand damage absorb
- With debuffs it hits the 2.7k/2.7k OA/DA sweet spot. Getting any higher OA seems very hard.
- I think energy usage is fine but I can swap some augments and lose about 30 OA to get +3 more energy regen
- 8% retal on Sigil (should hit for 10k to 20k damage depending on procs and lifesteall 3k to 6k per sigil), this should give decent sustain even on 85% resistant bosses
- Key items for this build: are the helm, amulet and shield. I have one green in the ring slot but its not technically essentially
- Most resistances are overleveled by about 10+% there is some room to swap aether to be higher
- I picked judgement just because it adds some DA debuff and the 3 ticks of 8% retal are ok damage without impacting autoattack much
- You can easily make a 4 hitting 50k damage Aegis for 5 skill points, but I felt it was pointless instead of just charging in since you do a lot of PBAOE
- there is a variation of this build using Mythical Agony and Perdition set to maintain roughly similar retal damage and lose the hat to lose Sigil and 8% on ferver to get 8% on Eye of Reckoning for a very respectable but not maximal EOR damage and good fervor.
- I suppose if you remove the shield for a dual wield version of this, which would lose a lot of defense and 12% retal added but still have the Sigil life steal for defense. Not sure if that’s better or not.
I have played around with a GDStash build character to check out a few key functional things:
- The retal damage of Fervor is transferred onto weapon procs, so Shattering Smash is actually a very good AOE as the whole cone has retal added as damage
- The retal on Eye of Dreeg seems to have multiple issues. The mutator does NOT apply to retal damage is only useful for creating a large explosion area. On the other hand without the mutator retal damage seems to only apply to the main missle and not the extra range from second skill. The equipment change imposes a 2 sec recharge and its 6 seconds with it. The 50% retal damage is not much more damage than a normal autoattack so I just removed it completely
- My initial testing has completely unproced and unres debuffed dummies I hit for about 50k per auto attack. As you debuff or proc a retal buff things ramp up more and more. It seems like you can cruise around at 100k auto attacks hits almost all the time and spike up to maybe rare 150k or maybe 200k not counting crits.
- Anvil hits for about 40k or so
- I originally was using Path of three and less mastery in occultist but decided the 15% absorb on Possession and extra health is probably better. I think the conversion on Path of the three can make Sigil hit a bit more and the 11% CD is useful, so its probably more damage. But since Fervor is already doing full conversion Posession seemed superior.
- Between the retal itself, every other attack being an aoe proc, targo/counterblow, judegment, Sigil and other procs you seem to do enough damage to clear mobs out fast. So I basically got rid of all ranged AOE (i.e. Eye and Aegis). I will probably use the augment with the Dreeg Leap with a 5 meter aoe that does 40% retal damage. It feels like having two movement powers plus this much PBAOE meets most any mob clearing needs and harder targets are Fervor focused with Sigil/debuff/absolution support.
Getting more OA/DA or more attack speed (currently 150%) would be nice, but these seems really really tight since I am trying to maintain a large amount of retal damage. I think overall the defense/sustain should be pretty good, not quite perma-overguard good on a boss with life steal immunity but overall strong. DPS seems pretty high end but its hard to exactly figure due to procs and conversions and the variations of retal contribution.
Any tweaks or advice would be appreciated.
Edit:
One other note is that I have been trying to use judgement to pull things into Sigils and the way things fly around is kinda weird, sometimes you can do it rather nicely and sometimes things go flying from one end of you to the other. All in all its kind of a fun game to trying and use judgement to manage positions but I am not sure if its pull is reliably useful as it seems to be randomly counter productive and rocket things out of sigil.
Also I am using Bloody Pox mostly to proc Rumor, it can be removed but its seems to be the superior Rumor procing thing. The -60 OA debuff is useful, the +15% enemy attack is interesting with retal, but I am not sure overall sure on this one. I lean towards keeping it with minimal points, I would put points into the -OA skill but skill points are tight if you go for possession.
