[1.1.2a] Incorrect livestock slaughter values + Intensive Animal Farming breaking between games

There are currently many bugs with livestock slaughter values

Base slaughter value for a cow is 310 meat. When you take the first point in Animal Rearing cow slaughter value increases to 341(10% gain). It’s not shown as part of the tech and the 2nd point does nothing, assume it’s unintended. Goat and chicken slaughter values don’t change from baseline. Horse slaughter value seems to follow the same behaviour as cows, but I often didn’t check their values while testing.

If you go into another save without exiting out of the game. In the case that the new save doesn’t have at least 1 point in Animal Rearing teched; then cow slaughter rate is set to 279(-10% from base value). If you can take a point in Animal Rearing it goes back to 341.

There are even more bugged slaughter values when you involve Intensive Animal Farming(30% gain). Turning the policy on is fine, until you exit the game. When you load back in cow slaughter value drops from 403 back to 341. Have to assume the bug on Animal Rearing is overwriting the policy.

When you turn the policy off it nerfs your base slaughter values by 30%, chicken from 20 to 14, goats from 120 to 84, cows to 217. So it’s setting meat values back to baseline and then adding a 30% reduction that isn’t needed since you’re already at base value. Restarting the game resets this back to expected value, with cows at 341 since you need to have Animal Rearing teched for the policy.

When you’re in a game with the policy activated and load into another game. If the 2nd game doesn’t also have the policy activated you’ll have the 30% nerfed values for goats and chickens. Cow value depends on Animal Rearing. This can be avoided by closing the game down completely, before restarting and loading the 2nd game.

Two more non slaughter bugs, but they’re related to livestock so posting them here.

Currently overlapping grazing areas shows a reduction of fodder quality on the UI; but it doesn’t actually lower fodder quality. Animal health remains at whatever it would be from the base fodder quality.

You can create an area of 100% fodder quality anywhere on the map by putting a farm down that overlaps where you want to make a grazing area. Grow clover on the farm and when it’s over halfway through it’s grow cycle delete the farm. The land underneath stays at 100% fodder quality permanently. I assume it works with all crops, I only tested with clover though. I also didn’t check the exact timing for when you can delete the farm; it did fail when I deleted early in the crop cycle though.
