[1.1.6.2] Beginner's vitality caster Conjurer guide, how to build monster build from the scratch! Suitable for first character

also in HC, if you die, you have spent less time on that char and is thus effecient also in that regard  loosing 20 hours or losing 5 h on a char. If you want some HC ideas and tips, find RektbyProtoss on youtube

Main thing is everybody reaches his goal sooner or later. In this case i also only loose the time that i spend for this one char that died not the time from all chars. So it will allways be 5 h not 20. When i undertand you correctly.

But now i have to take a break and prepare my rooms for Craftsmen. Dont need to disgrace me too much lol  A little bit is ok

hi,

great guide!

One question that came to my mind regarding an item I just happen to find:

Is Soulcatcher a better option than Reaver’s Hunger? I dont have a feeling how powerful the increased duration to sigil is.

You can stack more sigils on same monster/boss with increased duration which means more damage, these scepters also give effect https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/8499 and you can get sick rolls on them also Hyram in steelclap sells them

Thanks.

So do you think that Reaver’s Hunger is better than Soulcatcher?

Reaver’s hunger has cooldown reduction, can be very good

They are pretty similar. Both have 70 vitality damage added to Sigil, Hunger have duration of Sigil, which helps you with stacking multiple Sigils damage, while Soulcatcher boosts Devouring Swarm. I’ll say Hunger if you need/focus on single target and Soulcatcher for the spread and AoE, I prefer Reaver, cause also have cooldown reduction. If you use spamming skill (I don’t recommend it) you need the cast speed from Soulcatcher. though

Fair enough, I will stick with Reaver’s Hunger than. Thank you.

For reference, this is my current state: https://www.grimtools.com/calc/M2gmYkyZ

I feel pretty comfortable most of the time. The only scary thing right now is some nasty stunlocks.

You can try farm better belt, you already have tons of chaos resistance

At what point you start to REALLY need rr from CoF?
I played through veteran and most of the time kinda forgot I had it.
Actually mostly used Pox while running away & hiding.

Guess you just have to do the math.
If another skillpoint in BP would increase the damage from 2000 to 2500 damage, your increase is 25%.

If another skillpoint in CoF grants you a 10%RR, which is equivalent to total damage increase, you have to keep shoving points into BP.

Damn, I HATE math!
Seriously tho kinda get the overall “feeling” CoF isn’t really needed for bosses during Veteran, rather rushing for Possession feels smoother progress granted w/ CoF killing is faster.
Also rng plays a huge part, naturally.

You shouldn’t run and hide, instead tank it!

Pox is great but you should stack Sigils and with Bat and Wednigo even on Veteran should be smooth sailing.

I am not math expert but RR usually is the best possible investment to increase your damage. Especially - RR, which can bring enemies to negative values.

Sure. Just saying that a tiny damage to begin with won´t feel much improvement via RR or -RR.
“Die Mischung macht´s” (german: “the mixture of both is what counts”).

Same story with flat damage and %damage…

Sumthink like dat.
Act 5 was kinda slow at times, a bit like doing a Bleed build in AU.
So adding points to CoF & Vulnerability might be due.

Not bad at all!

I see you prioritize physical resistance, numbers there are crazy!

For act 6 you need better aether resistance. Also OA is lacking, I will put more points in Blood of Dreeg, as side effect that will be another defensive layer.

For act 6 is also good idea (if you can) to improve your stun resistance.

@Troll_from_behind hollowed fangs in weapon and shield seems wasted, that life steal is not added to your spells and the +%damage is low.

Use purified salt or imbued silver auras instead  Or one symbol of solael, but build is already pretty spammy  Maybe get rid of doom bolt and use symbol of solael skill instead?

I decided to bring them all to Deadmans Gulch first. 4/10 Reached it and are now lvl 35 and 36… Bloodydots vitality bleed Conjurer, Burn the world BWC and ROC Purifier, Coldylox Deathmarked Cold infiltrator and The Apex beginners Death Knight.
 Now the fifth one is your Vitality caster.
