Foreword
This is a build that probably has been done before in some form or another so I will try to make it short. A lot of testing work and ideas should be credited to @Shoot2033 (the most important part of which is devotion map).
The Build
1.1.7.2 Update
All right, Zantai, we play a caster with two pistols if you keep insisting so much. Build has lost some quality of life but damage wise it’s the same or ever stronger. Survivability is better though because of Mark of Divinity.
1.1.7.1 Update
Reworked the devotion map and changed a belt and some components. Cindertouch got nerfed out of this spec, so we welcome Wyrmbones that synergize pretty well with the Lightning side of things. Build can now easily farm SR 75-76 and is a rock in Crucible. And with slight adjustments to skills you can kill Celestials or venture into super deep SR.
1.1.6.1 Update
Build has been nerfed quite a bit. And not casting speed or energy regeneration or any quality of life buffs were given in exchange. Updated Grimtools and added a video of amazing @Plasmodermic’s run.
<<<<< GRIMTOOLS >>>>>*
*Craft two/three items for Pierce resistance and two/three items for for Freeze resistance (or craft them for %Physique if you don’t mind drinking anti-freeze potions)
**You can choose Seal of Destruction for tiny bit more damage but sustain will be worse. Belt affixes don’t matter that much.
***For Celestial fights/super deep Shards you need 12/12 Mirror and 10/10 Nullification
Electrifying questions
Shouldn’t double Ravager’s Eye and bigger Spirit investment yield more damage in the end?
Yes, we are losing about 70% total damage (so about 2% of total paper damage) with this setup but I did it to use Restless Remains instead of Spellscorched Plating in gloves (Pierce res is a huge problem). Casting speed and additional adtch are crucial to this build’s consistency.
What about devotion map with Korvaak? Or Dying God? Or better yet, with Blind Sage?
This one is the best damage-wise and defense-wise, a lot of tests have been conducted by @Shoot2033.
Gear/Skills/Devotions/Leveling
Skill distribution is pretty optimal, 14/12 Blast Shield is actually needed for safer gameplay. There is a place for a Flashbang, if you want a bit safer gameplay. Rahn’s rune actually adds quite a bit of damage to the build. Devotion map is pretty optimal, Aeon gives us an extra layer of defense and also lets us cast an extra Cannister Bomb every ~10 seconds.
