[1.1.9.8 – 1.2.0.2] Build Overview - Korvan Wyrm Vindicator (SR75-80)

It’s not so much that I prefer facetanking per se, but the build kinda doesn’t give you much choice. To get the RR effect from Inquisitor Seal you need your enemies standing in there, while you yourself want to be in Seal for safety as well (not to mention that in my case without Seal I have no elemental res overcaps). Then there’s Wendigo Totem which doesn’t do jack unless you’re standing near it and there’s an enemy near it for it to trigger its heal. I also have RR linked to the Totem. So kiting just isn’t condusive to this build’s playstyle, it wants to be very static.

Add to that the fact the build has atrocious AoE (improving by a whopping 0.6 m in 1.2 which I don’t think will be enough). If you’re trying to focus a target down, if you’re going to be kiting a horde around the enemies will just keep shuffling about, the same target isn’t necessarily going to be standing at the front all the time. Because the AoE is so small you’ll end up hitting one guy twice and then another guy once and then another guy once as they shuffle about and you don’t really get to kill anything. If you’re standing in place, you at least get to consistently hammer the same targets till they’re dead. The only plus I’d see in trying to play this as a kiter is that at least the build would be able to get some use out of the Internal Trauma on the weapon and PS. Cause repeat hits do nothing for that.

I have not tested the build outside of SR. I don’t like Crucible and don’t particularly enjoy fighting superbosses either so I don’t test against them unless a build is ridiculously broken and I feel like it might enjoy the challenge. And frankly, this would be one of the last characters I’d think of to try that. Given how ass its damage is, especially for a physical build, I don’t even want to think of what it would be like to try to kill Crate or Calla with that

Though, looking back at it, maybe the damage isn’t actually as bad as I’m claiming. Cause at least judging from the SR75-76 and SR80 times, while it’s slow, I’ve had slower. And yet somehow this build just feels worse. Maybe it’s cause all it’s doing is just spamming PS so when things aren’t dying fast it feels like nothing is happening. It’s still not a good build and playstyle either way.

I’d be curious to see what you manage to achieve with your version and what your final build ends up being. I’d love for this to be a good build, I expected it to be very similar to my Phys Forcewave Tactician. It was all the more suprising when it turned out to be…this
