The buff forced off time of 5 seconds is too long.
Even in its current state, 3 seconds is enough to restore the buff.
Can react faster, 3 seconds is enough to leisurely reapply the buff.
Being forced to run away for 5 seconds is too big of a penalty.
I think the appropriate time for the buff to be forcibly turned off is about 3 seconds.
I kindly disagree.
During all my testing in the 1.2 public test realm I never felt that 5 sec for being null’ed is too long.
Reason for that being that 1. arcane type monsters now being a lot more visible and 2. null balls overall being much easier to avoid.
So imo if you get hit by null balls now it’s entirely on you and you deserve to get punished for it.
same
nulli feels vastly less dangerous on 1.2 than 9.8 now imo
outside crucible i dont’ think short duration is warranted or even a good idea, it would remove the penalty it’s supposed to be for failing the encounter, and kinda might as well just remove nulli altogether then
Even tho I don’t play CR much… from the 10 or so times I did during the PTR null didn’t feel like an issue at all if you focused mobs with the BIG FAT PURPLE BUBBLE above their heads.
And completely removing it… nah.
I’m against it.
Null is fine as is rn imo.
Buff removal is a significant debuff in SR.
In other areas, whether the buff disappears or not has no significance to survival.
This is a very serious threat to survival in the SR environment.
Therefore, in an SR environment, there is a need for recovery as quickly as possible.
When the buff disappears, the buff status window at the bottom left suddenly disappears and your stamina rapidly decreases.
With these, can immediately check whether character’s buff has been deleted and quickly restore the buff.
As I mentioned earlier, even in the current situation, the buff can be reactivated within 3 seconds. In fact, it doesn’t even take 3 seconds.
Therefore, the new rule that forces players to run away for 5 seconds is a significant demerit factor.
There is only a 2-second difference between 3 and 5 seconds, but for some people, that 2-second difference may be a very absurd situation.
This is a patch that changes it for convenience.
If it is an unreasonable improvement over the current state, should we accept it as is?
If the 5-second mandatory buff-off provided is an intended threat, it is a very comical threat. It’s a threat you don’t have to worry about even if it just runs away for 5 seconds.
If the character dies while walking around without knowing that the buff has been turned off, it is due to the user’s carelessness.
Catching buff removal is not difficult. It’s just something that seems intuitive. Also, 3 seconds is enough to catch it and operate it again.
So wouldn’t 3 seconds be a good time to force the buff to turn off?
yes, which only happens if you dont pay attention and ONLY for 5 seconds.
in case u do get hit by it you now have an evade ability which you can chain into your movement rune on top of that which grants you a massive speed burst that gets you out of harms way in case you fucked up.
and by that time ur buffs have already returned.
so where exactly is the big issue here?!
cuz I personally dont see it.
Again, no.
As @Ceno already stated 3 sec is too less of a punishment.
