A while ago, @_maverick pointed me at a templar lightning aether ray build with end-game setup here:
Besides (part of) the set, it uses a much better amulet (the amulet in this build got a -10% total damage modifier in the last patch, ouch) and the legendary aether ray gloves. (Pretty much a must have for all aether ray builds, though mostly for lack of alternatives)
I haven’t tried that build, but I did try a druid version that is very similar so it should work fine.
