[1.2.1.2] Hemorager - Pure Bleed Bloody pox Conjurer - [easy SR 80+]

As promised, @Gnomish_Inquisition and @Maya

I’ve really been enjoying this new meta where health regen is a potent and reliable form of sustain that works independently of your own damage output. Most of all, the fact that it allows a type of build that was previously very hard to pull off: Pure bleed caster. Which is something that I’ve always wanted to do. I also like the general idea, usually championed by pet builds of doing basically nothing while your foes just melt around you. It makes for a very meditative gameplay.

This is not my most powerful of such builds, but it’s one that I really like playing, and as the various tags used suggest, requires minimal input and is VERY forgiving of mistakes.

BTW, not a build guide, just a showcase.

Gameplay:

There is no “main skill” to spam, no piano, nothing to cast “in between”, no panic button, no proc to wait for…

When you see enemies, cast Bloody Pox and CoF.
Add Devouring swarm if they don’t go down immediately. That’s pretty much it…

(I bind the first 2 to “scroll up” and “scroll down” on my mouse wheel, so I can just wiggle it to cast both, and Devouring swarm to the right mouse button. Casting those 3 together is basically just muscle memory after a while)

Ah, yes, keep BoD up, and try to remember to lay down a totem when facing something big… if you want.

Damage:

While it may look like BP on its own might not be enough, the fact that bleed is the least resisted damage type in the game, combined with our -158% RR output from just casting those 3 curses means that basically everything is taking 2-3X the damage it normally would.

Sustain:

The 4k+ health regen, nearly 30k health, 10% health/sec totem, 35% physical resist and 17% damage absorption will keep you alive while BP does its thing even if you’re not really paying attention.

I’ve facetanked nemesis while sundered in SR80 without touching a health potion… so in campaign, anything short of a celestial requires only basic cognitive functions.

Hope you enjoy it!

If you have any question or suggestion, let me know!

Reserved for maybe something

Go go Hemo Rager

I almost spelled it differently for exactly that reason, but wasn’t sure everyone would get the pun

Plus, Emo music is not so popular anymore

Excellent build, I have been looking for a build like this for a while, a build with an arsenal of plagues and diseases.
Just a silly question though, this is mainly for mobs not superbosses right ?

Thank you!

I have not tried superbosses with it, but I’m fairly certain that it cannot handle most of them. (Maybe Lokarr ? … and maybe Crate if you’re really good at dodging)

Anything else however is a cakewalk, including farming SR 75, roguelike dungeons, main campaign/expansions bosses, or crucible.

Here you go:

Should not be too long before the HD version is processed.
Not a great showcase to be honest, as I didn’t get rooms with loads of critters, which is where this build shines. The build looks slow in this. (And also, I’m probably a terrible pilot)
But I did make a point of sometimes just standing there doing nothing to highlight the tankiness :stuck_out_tongue:

I should probably record something like a lost oasis run, to give proper perspective.

I’m afraid you need to rerecord - you didn’t use Devouring Swarm

i guess it means it’s an honest forum build, and true to its advertisement

LOL! That’s why it was slow!

I normally put it on the right mouse button, but changed it for testing (So I could see Bloody pox damage numbers) and forgot to put it back!

Well, I guess…

I wasn’t drunk, but I might as well have been.

Alright, here’s a new one where I don’t randomly forget to use 1/3 of my skills :person_facepalming: #IhavenoideawhatIamdoing

Quite a bit faster (obviously)

It’s a nice feeling being able to facetank Korvaak in SR 75

I like the build, but I have a question. I can understand taking Solael’s Witchfire, since it’s buff would apply to casting, but why did you take Brute Force? Does it apply even without attacking with a weapon?

Yes / 10char.

It’s a passive buff that is active when using a 2-handed weapon. It seems to have been taken for the flat Health.
