[1.2.1.6] Diary of the Dollar Store Defiler - the build with the all the Meteors

Well I never claimed the amulet wasn’t rarer, just that neither is imo easy to get on a fresh character.

Unless ofc you don’t want it, then it drops immediately.

Dunno if you guys are interested in the build I mastered with pyran set (designed to kill deep shard mossy, we were doing just that and while mossy didn’t spawn, build remained).

click me for meteor sorcery

Yes, I also though about relics but let’s be hoenst… Eternity keeps them flowing… Pyran set really is nice for flat rr + DR.

So all in all take it as inspiration or something.

Really? It doesn’t drop duplicates? I’ve never heard that before

Not duplicate epics or legendaries at least. You can get duplicate greens, but I’m not sure if the affixes are still different every time.

I’m also not sure what happens if you find every item. Does it reset or just drop nothing? The longest streak I’ve had is 23 (I think) sets of 30-31 shattered realms in a row. Then I crashed to desktop.

I estimate the average cost of getting 1 piece of Blazeseer by transmutation to be 940k bits + 156 scraps.
And after SSF leveling you have a few millions I think? Scraps from dismantling.

Lol, seems like crashes are a feature to not have too easy farming :stuck_out_tongue:

Eternity is definitely the better choice. Annihilation would only be the thematic choice. Also, I just remembered that this weapon exists. So for the full meteor meme you gotta wield that too.

Sadly practicality gets lost doing that but I definitely get your point. Style is very important when it comes to being fully thematic.

as long as you do SR and don’t log out. Since duplicates can’t drop.

Duplicates can still drop. I tested that exact theory few days ago and did ~30 SR runs in a session, still got couple duplicates before I got the things I wanted.
It’s still probably the best way to get there quickly, if you have the time and endurance.

If that’s the case then my guess is that it keeps rerolling an item up to a fixed number of times if you already had it dropped in the same session. But it’s not infinite reroll so dupes can still happen. Gnuff might check out this thread and clarify.

Greens for sure, but I’ve never seen the same blue or purple within the same session.

Though you did more runs than me, so maybe you’re right.

I do also think it’s still the best farming method regardless.

Yes, my guess as well. Just like it does with BPs from totems and SR chests.

Current speculations are 30 re rolls back , my old info was 10

It would be strange if it flat out couldn’t drop a duplicate as it really would make farming quite trivial, if it weren’t for the crashes. You would just keep a game open for however many days and hoover up everything.

I’ll try it out sometime. I knew about the blueprints, but not that it does a similar thing with items.

I don’t think that’s a practical problem :stuck_out_tongue:

It depends on what counts as “easy”
