Ty for the feedback! Glad this guide’s being useful :muscle:

There is no way I can put all the devotion points to make it the same as the build. Help please??

devotions can be self-sustaining https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEbd1aQCSjg

general approach to devos is work your way inside out
start filling in all the builds tier 1 devos after unlocking crossroads, then you fill in tier 2s, if you can’t fill in/access all a build’s tier2 devos you use a temporary filler devo of the other tier1s providing that colours. Then you fill in the tier2s, remove the filler devos (and potential excess crossroads remaining), finally filling in tier3s.
That way a devo route will always be possible to complete

*keep in mind there is a difference in doing this/ being able to complete a full/finished devo map, vs unlocking them in a ā€œsemi-optimalā€ order during levelling, because end builds usually don’t have devo setups/orders based on levelling efficiency

Hi, thanks for the guide
I’m using this build for my first character but unless I’m blind and just not seeing it somewhere, reading through the wiki and other stuff I saw there’s gonna be factions and stuff I’m supposed to side with, one or the other, and I don’t see them listed here. Which ones am I supposed to pick? Or do I just go with whatever sounds the coolest lol

Also, is there anything special I’m supposed to do with my attribute points? Reading around I saw most people put them in physique, and a couple in the others to help fit the requirements for gear. Is that what I’m supposed to follow as well? Any other tips for a newbie like me would be much appreciated, thanks so much!

Hi there! Ty for the reply!

Well, about this char, i sided with barrolholm and outcast, feel free to choose between order of death’s vigil and kymon’s chosen, we don’t use any of their gear. (those factions are optional, you can choose to be enemies with barrolholm and outcast too)

About the FG DLC cults, you will become revered with all of them in the end, no matter wich you choose first.

About attributes, i spent 18 in spirit (to equip rings and amulet) , 53 in cunning (physical and bleeding dmg based builds benefits a lot of it) and 36 on physique on this char (i spent most of the points on physique on early levels to met requirements when equipping armor)

On stats: note you can see how stats are distributed in Grimtools. For example, if you check the level 20 link for this build nad hover over physique, you’ll see something like ā€œ8 points spentā€.

In general, people put attributes where needed to equip gear while levelling, and then redistribute based on what their builds need at level 94-100. (there are potions that let you reset them, so don’t sweat it.) Usually just enough to equip the gear you need, and then dump the rest in what is most important to the build. (Cunning for physical damage/offense, physique for defense/hitpoints, spirit for magic damage/sp regen.)

On factions: Siding with Barrowholm is usually better, since they have some very nice augments for gear. (Notably the +4% hitpoint one, almost everyone can use that.) There’s also a unique incredibly hard boss (well, 3 actually, though you can only fight one) that is only unlocked if you side with them.

Some characters want to farm certain items dropped by them, and those might want to fight them. But even then, it can be better to fight them on normal/elite and then make friends on legendary for the augments & boss fight. (If you can win it. Most of my characters can’t.)

Honestly it’s a shame the benefits of joining them are so big, as they are pretty loathsome people. When playing an inquisitor I just refuse to side with them, benefits be damned. Purge the unclean and all that.

You should always side with the Outcast unless you REALLY need gear she drops, as her dungeon is (in my opinion) the single worst designed one in the game and fighting her is therefore incredibly annoying. Also, joining her adds quite a lot to the story.

The Kymon’s Chosen/Death Vigil choice matters less, and it’s worth doing both just to see the story and quests. Again, a few characters might need specific gear dropped by one faction, but this one doesn’t. It’s usually safe to pick based on roleplay reasons.
