I’m guessing the boss’s Defensive Ability was increased. If it’s not DA, then they must have made some other changes to the boss, because the pets’ crit rate is much lower now. And this build actually deals more damage than the Ice King.
Is there any way to convert summon familiar’s damage to fire, even if it makes the build weaker? Just for fun I would like to try it but I can’t seem to find any gear that can do that and keep the rest of the pets doing fire damage.
If you want a single build that can clear every piece of content in the game, then this is the one to go for. If you’re purely chasing the highest possible damage, there are certainly other pet builds that can do more, or you can go with a non-pet build and easily reach 1–2 million damage or moreeee.
Hi, not related to beastcaller but do you think it may be possible to have a nice build with scorv’s glyph (with necrolord’s shroud, double rare bloodsworn signets, kravall shoulderpads, halion’s crest)? I’m not sure if it’s better than vitality beastcaller, but the items provide a lot of good bonus too. Necrolord, scorv, halion crest and kravall provide better stats than beastcaller and bloodsword signet provides better stats than mythical spiritbinder glyph. However you can’t have double hounds. And personally I like scorv’s glyph due to its correct visual of vitality pets too.
Hmm, personally I prefer the codex offhand build that increases hellhound dmg. For main hand I prefer the salazar dagger here (which I believe that is the best offensively for vitality builds). I’m sofrcore so I can accept things more offensively.
Of course, you can also switch to the Mogdrogen Wolf devotion.
But HC or new pets players requires more permanent pets to control enemy aggro and to handle high-pressure situations.
I mean the offhand you are using in your fire beastcaller build. Or do you mean that you prefer having double and more time to primal spirit so they can cover more situation? Perhaps I will go for hellhounds codex since I’m softcore and I prioritize quick killing bosses for fun.
Hmm Idk but from what I see so far if you stand in the blood pool created by uber nerf then you will not crit him. Need to move the pet out of the blood pool. Maybe that’s the case for the hellhound build here?
Overall, the two main parts that make up this version of the build are:
The Beastcaller’s set which gives you overall buffs and the big number of pets (you can check if you have the helmet blueprint which you can craft and transmute into the other parts)
The weapon, which converts your pets to fire damage
Otherwise it is still the same pet conjurer under the hood.
If you have neither of the above, you can keep running the same conjurer build you currently have been doing, farming totems and stuff until you get one or ideally both of the above.
Whether your current pets are more elemental focused (say, a raven with the lightning strike + hellhound)
Or physical damage focused (briarthorn + hellhound)
Or a hosh-posh of various damage types
As long as you’re not feeling squishy, and your pets do decent damage, just keep farming.
It’s the sets (beastcaller set or bysmiel set for example) which turbocharge your build and focus it on a specific pet type.
