[1.3.0.7] [2H Melee] [HCSSF] The kurnhold's guardian - Beginner physical/bleeding super tanky primalist - Leveling guide

What do u think of mine little tweaks to devotion points. Im not interested in HC, so i removed Crab, Lotus and Hawk and instead i put my points into Fox, Nighttalon and Ulzaad for nice big Phys dmg buffs and bit more Bleed dmg also. I thing that Crab is much more suited for Elemental damage and this Absorb is not worth that much imo, and Lotus is also kinda meh, just some more regen and 25% reflect reduction. So far im enjoying this build, was kinda low damage at the start (but around level 30 i grab Gargoyle Visage and some other MI’s and skills (Bonechilling Cry mainly) its pretty damn good and fast now
My devotions below :

Cheers!

Hi there. Ty for the reply! You can try this one in SC first if you’re new on the game. It’s a good idea learning some bosses and nemesis fighting first before trying it on HC, even being a tanky char

Yeah, I liked it! In SC you can/should invest more on damage and it looks great. Please give us more feedback of your performance with this setup

I wanted also squeeze Oleron into this build somehow but couldnt do it without sacrificing other nice devotions so i think its better to stick without it (5 more purples and 3 yellows is too much).

I played troll club primalist as my FoA (fresh) starter and it was really chill for leveling.
Only ran into some damage issues on ascendant because I didn’t feel like min maxing the character.
I think this was my snapshot before I rerolled Primalist, Level 100 (GD 1.3.0.0) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator.

I think archon would probably be overall the best for phys/bleed hybrid but maybe you can go for a more full bleed setup as primalist.

any reason you don’t try to get 100% wps?

Yeah Oleron is really hard to fit in. The colors are so expensive

Great guide, thanks for the effort!

Out of curiosity, why did you completely ignore Upheaval? Seems to be fitting well into the build, does it not?

Cheers!

Hey there… Ty for the reply! Yeah, you can surely add upheaval, I personally focused on feral hunger on this one, but Jarldin’s set or even nature’s avenger set can make upheaval even more appealing on this build

Good afternoon. I apologize in advance for the text (I am using a translator). Could you please tell me why you don’t use the “Blood Trance” skill?

Hi! Blood trance?

Yes, the Berserker’s “Bloody Trance.” I haven’t been playing for very long, so I’m asking. Looking at the Constellations, I see that:

  1. The Assassin’s Mark (under Feral/Wildness) lowers Pierce Resistance.
  2. Heart-Rending Scream lowers Pierce Resistance.
But “Bloody Trance” increases Pierce Damage.

That’s why I asked. Maybe I’m missing the point? Please excuse the translation—I’m using a translator tool.

Ah I think you’re meaning the WPS skill bloodfangs?
I focused on trying to use mainly the feral hunger WPS here, but you can add bloodfangs too

The translator program produced an incorrect translation. I was referring to a Bloodborne ability.

I used primal bond from shaman mainly for the bleeding dmg bonus and dmg absorb.

How should I allocate points for Stamina, Spirit, and Agility when leveling up?

Hi! Just spend points to meet equipment requirements during the leveling. Mostly in physique

I’m going to second on the Crimson Claws

This build is INSANELY fun.

Just wanted to say I love this build so far!
I actually just went with Savagery and Devouring Swarm from the jump using the best two handed weapons I found find and had a lot of fun, although it was probably slower than going with Werewolf!

Thanks so much for the build!
