[1.3.0.7] End game Blade Spirit Reaver

I hadn’t realized that the turtle gave 3 blue points… without it I need the hound to get to the Amatok… actually, I was torn between those 3 devotions in the first post with the 5 points I had left.

made some changes, where do you think i should put the last 4 points?

Tortoise gives nice armor bonus as well as a circuit breaker, why you like hound so much?

Isnt Viper a premium pick for its ele%RR?
Kinda must have with this layout, i would go for it for sure

it is for sure, especially against kuba etc which I why I would pick toad over quill

I was just curious about hound

?

and tortoise is 80flat and 8% and 2 nodes in amatok is 140 flat

This is how to get armor amor

and some more damage but a bit less armor

with turtle i can’t maxout chariot and i need the 3 green point for leviathan…In the original post i used behemot because of that

is leviathan proc really that good when you can get same +% cold damage from ultos

Is very good, procs a lot with nemesis…and Leviathan have +180% cold damage

without hound now KKKK, 2 points to spare

Ultos also have +180% cold damage, and its proc is like viper

But it is lightning…Do you think i don’t have enough RR with -33 nights chill -6 veil of shadow -32 bonechiling -23 Mumur and the one from Rhowan’s?

Not really.

“X% reduced resistances” is the least valuable type of resistance reduction because it is applied after the normal RR.

There are cases where it can help, but most of the time… not really.

Here are some examples in TqFan’s s calculator tool:

Using your build, against a monster with 80% cold resistance, you’d get a tiny increase in damage from viper:

The bonus would be bigger against a monster with low resistances, but still not that significant. (And a monster with low resistances is going to die very quickly anyway.)

And weapon damage x 10

Leviathan is good for sure, but I always feel like I am missing out on good tier-2 devos when taking it because having to spend so many points in green and purple. At least take Empty throne over Harpy for some more crowd control res.

And in the same vein you could say: “Hey if the opportunity cost is low to pick it up its very good!”

If you paint the whole picture it goes over 5% in additive gain with lower Res monster values and in cases where remaining RR isnt applied temporarely its even better… But i understand its easier to reply with “Not really”

Oh, I agree, if you need blue/red points anyway, Viper is a fine choice.

I sometimes even use it on non elemental damage builds because it offers better stats than some other fillers. There’s some nice OA there, and the energy leech is good on some builds, and it does apply its RR very consistently on auto-attack builds.

“Not really” is in reply to the statement that it’s a must-have. You should not go out of your way to get it.

The more important point is that it’s very non-intuitive to players that X% reduced resistances is so much less important than -RR or X reduced resistances types of RR. It’s easy to read posts here saying how important RR is and thinking you absolutely need to work in Ultos or Viper same as you need Rowan’s Crown or Murmur.

Doing the math and seeing the actual impact is quite enlightening in that regard.

Empty throne on, and i managed to keep 3 points on behemoth for blood of giant…but i lose 12 flat cold and 100% cold on leviathan, do you think that is worth it?

You can remove the last two nodes of Rhowan’s Crown and get 1 green crossroads and that node in Leviathan, much more damage.

I don’t think the proc on Behemoth is worth it if you have no CDR and aren’t a regen build. Instead, the node on the lower right gives a lot of health and armour.
