Hi,
with FoA release I wanted to play the cool raven. I kinda bounced between builds, with raven being rather fragile and cold devos being a bit disappointing.
But that’s no longer the case anymore.
Grimtools shows my res is under max, so that’s how it looks in the game:
This birb has a a bit of regen, decent-ish armor, and with CDR and energy regen it can spam Devastation while occasionally sipping on energy potions. It mostly facetanks things on Ultimate, and deals with Ascended difficulty nice so far.
The idea is simple:
- devotions: ghoulish hunger + behemoth + chariot for healing, murmur for RR, hourglass on devastation to reduce the cooldowns.
- skills: wereraven’s talons and cold snap for spamming, bonechilling for RR, devastation for devastation, maiven for protection, star pact for additional CDR, form of the beast for +10% dmg, the rest is self-explanatory
- gear: Stormfang set for devastation bonuses and + projectiles, cataclysm for +dmg, eternity gives CDR. For boots and pants had to use whatever I had at hand - guess, they can be replaced with something that gives healing on being hit, like wendigomane leggins.Frigum Arcanum for devastation conversion.
- ascensions are either +armor, or +regen on amatok
How to play: wereraven spam, drop devastation and cry for fatties. When in danger, step away for a bit, regen heals you quite fast. Mirror is your “oh no you don’t” button.
Oh, and it is rather controller friendly - only 5 active skills, 4 of which I usually bind to the same button to have them cast constantly.

There was one risky moment, and had to maneuver a bit after wave 155, but otherwise was fine.
I guess, it can be improved further: try to squeeze the nymph in the devotions instead of hydra, add escape rune, add nullification and leap for additional safety. As I said, pants and boots can be replaced with better options.

Also, this bird has a brother, but he’s kinda weak yet and has nothing to boast about.
The idea was to make a more tanky and damaging bird, but it still needs some work, I guess.
