10 Suggestions

Hi devs

Thanks for a great game!

I have some feedback/suggestions that I would like to share with you. Some of these might already have been suggested, but here they are.

  1. Automatically pick up components (on/off)

  2. Name plates for players (on/off)

  3. Spot players on map even though they are in fog of war

  4. See more detail on buffs (right now you have no clue what they do)

  5. See debuffs on target (I don’t know when to reapply DOT’s)

  6. Enable some way of teleporting to party players rift without having to find it on the map (have a rift icon near the players party frame)

EDIT: Just realized that 7. is already in the game.
7. Let you spend components at the Forgemaster while having them in the bank (so you don’t have to transfer them from your bank every time)

  1. Search bar available in inventory and Forgemaster etc.

  2. Mouse over an item (component/quest item) that is needed for a shrine or crafting, and show if you have it in your inventory/bank

  3. Make a character displayer, like Armory in World of Warcraft (not a big priority by any means, just could be nice eventually)

  1. Yes
  2. Yes.
  3. Would be nice.
  4. Be specific. Which ones? Or do you mean from the icon when they’re active? Because you want to see what allied buffs are doing to you. Yeah.
  5. Yes please.
  6. This makes so much sense now that the map is big. Ever since act 4 it’s been a bit annoying to scan left and right for the rift icons. Would be a huge QoL addition. Great idea.
  7. Yeah!.. I thought this was already done. O.o.
  8. Low priority but would be nice.
  9. Ehh. Couldn’t hurt. I’m most eh on this one.
  10. Unnecessary waste of coding work IMO.

Overall, great QoL feedback. I don’t think any of it is particularly important except the buffs tooltips and debuff icons. But it would definitely feel nice to have a lot of these.

Welcome to the forum.

There is no way to do this since character information is stored locally on your pc or on the steam cloud which I imagine would have restricted access.

Good QoL, indeed.

Already in the game, if Im not totally misunderstanding what you are talking about. When you craft an item, I believe components gets pulled from sources in this order: Inventory > Personal stash > Shared stash.

You sure about that? The game already shows your toons individually on the main menu and you have stats on the char sheet page 3. To me it sounds you just have to organize all this on the same page. Should’nt be that hard, right?

I was basing my reply on your WOW Armory comparison. Sure something could be built to display locally, but what would be the point of that?

The only way this could work for public viewing(if that was what you were asking for) would be some kind of extraction tool to run on your files and then a website with an upload mechanism to upload the data. That could definitely work. It would not be real-time though. Any time you make a change to your character you would have to repeat the process.

Thanks for your answer! I appreciate the feedback.

Yea sorry, I mean allied buffs. I was playing with some friends and we were talking about our party buffs but we each had to explain to each other what they did, which just seems unnecessary when it could just be displayed by mousing over the buff. Right now it only shows you the lore text, which doesn’t really tell you much.

While not a huge must, I have just found it a bit tedious that I have to go back to my bank and mouse over every component that I have to see if the one I need for that particular shrine is there. This would of course be made a lot easier with the search function.

Yes this is definitely low on priorities, it just kind of ended up here in my brainstorming of functions that would be nice to have eventually.

And thanks for the great welcome

Ah yea sorry, I just checked and this is already in the game!

  1. Big +1, I would find it vey useful if we could just teleport to a friend when in multiplayer, rather than juggling with personal rifts…

He’s still saying you need to use personal rifts. The OP wants to see an icon next to the players name instead of having to scan the map for it.

To OP: All your ideas are good, except the last one, and only because I don’t know what you mean by it since I didn’t play that game.

  • Yes to all above!
  1. Search bar available in inventory and Forgemaster etc.
  • Would be nice, but not very important.
  1. Mouse over an item (component/quest item) that is needed for a shrine or crafting, and show if you have it in your inventory/bank
  • Yes
  1. Make a character displayer, like Armory in World of Warcraft (not a big priority by any means, just could be nice eventually)
  • Yes, and make it online for everyone to see. (Maybe some day?)
