I suggested sth similar in the past. I´m all in!!
So, an RTS set in the world of Grim Dawn? Wow… I loved Warcraft 3, Age of Mythology, and Command & Conquer: Generals.
So, Aetherials, Chthonians, Kurn, Black Legion, Coven of Ugdenbog, The Witch Gods, Eldritch Horrors… will there be other factions to choose from as well? I’d love to get back into a classic RTS.
Thank you, you’re amazing!
Pretty sure the RTS is set waaaay before Grim Dawn, so I don’t think Aetherials and Chthonians will have a huge presence as factions. I’m very interested to see what they do with this as well.
Congratulations Crate! Your success is so well-deserved. And happy 10th to GD!
One question that I had for ages - why is Byscilla a poster girl for Ashes of Malmouth? An expansion she isn’t a part of, as far as I am aware. Was she in initial plans for AoM but didn’t make it? Or it’s mostly because of how she looks, aetherial/victorian vibe?
Slams credit card against screen for dramatic effect
Congratulations! I think this is either my first or one of the first posts on the forum, but I play Grim Dawn for few years already and use the guides stored here a lot.
This is great game that already achieved a lot and more to come with the new expansion.
Thank you a lot team on what you have delivered us so far!
10 years ago today… I was 25 years old excited for the full release
Now at 35 years old, I am yearning for the next expansion of Grim Dawn.
Maybe at 45 years old, I will have Grim Dawn 2? ![]()
To be fair, many hours of that was kept PAUSED overnight
This is how I am currently ramping up my playtest hours, except I often don’t even hit pause ![]()
(if anyone asks, I am of course testing for potential memory leaks and long term stability
)
If you keep it paused for too long, video driver issues occur causing the black screen effect. Ask me how i know lol
The only issue I ever had with pausing the game for too long was a little bit of stuttering after resuming, but that goes away after a few seconds. If I keep the same session running for a very long time (more than a day or two), it might begin to stutter more regularly but that might as well have other causes. Such as the browser on another display playing a 4k Youtube video, for some reason that interferes with the game, 2k seems to be fine though.
Happy 10th to the best damn ARPG in existence, can’t wait for FoA!! ![]()
Congrats Crate. You guys deserve all the praise.
The thing I love the most: Grim Dawn has sold itself and stood on its own merit. No grand advertising, no marketing, no billion dollar publisher to fluff it up everywhere, just a bloody great game full of quality and care.
Cheers to the next 10 years, looking forward to signing up for GD2 early access when it rolls around. Game developers don’t get older and retire do they? Thought not.
Heartfelt thanks and praise for providing such a wonderful game.
Actually the characters showcases the Grim Dawn versions.
Grim Dawn
Ashes of Malmouth
Forgotten Gods
Fangs of Asterkarn
What is interesting though, the images is labeled as “GD_Anniversary10_HD” the HD part is not what Grim Dawn is about, so this gives me the impression when FoA drops, Crate might surprise us by saying we have Remastered Grim Dawn in the best possible way we could hence calling it Grim Dawn HD
This means upscaled textures and bringing the game slightly better looking than previous
verison.
Also, it was Grim Dawn’s 10th year Anniversary, that also can be seen by the 10 candles buring which also gives me the idea FoA will be released in the 10th month which is October 2026, hence Zantai said just in a few months.

Grim Dawn

They’re the characters on the loading screens for base game and each expansion, indeed: unnamed Occultist (?) for base game, Byscilla for AoM, Riggs (?) for FG, and FoA lady.
Can’t wait! a true masterpiece of a game.
October 2026 is my predication xD
Wow ten years! Time certainly have passed quite fast.
Really looking forward to the final expansion . On what truly has been passionate development.
Thank you Crate!
Thanks for the game and your efforts. Truly amazing.
