Hello, I was wondering if a 2 handed cold damage spellbreaker was possible using the two piece bonus of Trozan’s Skybreach and the 2 piece set of Dread Sigils of Alkamos was possible. The idea I had in mind with this build was using the Mythical Bane of the Winter King is my main source of cold damage and using the 2 piece set bonus of Trozan’s to add an additional 120% to cold damage and boosting it even more with the Sigils of Alkamos. Just curious to know if I can make this my own and a viable build. As for my other items I decided to go with Mythical Fateweaver’s Leggings, Mythical Iceskorn Talons, Galewind Treads, Mythical Spellbreaker Waistguard, Mythical Heart of the Mountain, Nidalla’s Outbreak and Mythical Undying Oath. If I had to make any changes I could go with a DW cold damage Spellbreaker for more attack speed, I am just thinking outside the box with this one lol.
Hi,
You can use www.grimtools.com to share your character drafts.
Answering your question, given the lack of information you provided (what will your damage source be? What devotions will you use? What kind of content do you want to conquer with that char?), this build you are talking about will be able to beat main campaign, will struggle against most nemeses (will definitely die agianst Grava and Kuba), will probably die to Mad Queen (unless you use Time dilation) and will fail spectaculary in Crucible Gladiator past wave 100.
When I came up with this idea I wasn’t putting too much thought any of the content you mentioned, I guess I am still new to GrimDawn, the whole point of this build is to pretty much conquer everything by stacking large amounts of cold damage on the weapon and the gear itself, maybe I am not understanding something about creating builds lol. I do apologize for my newbiness.
https://www.grimtools.com/calc/d2jX8MlZ Here is my rough draft of the build that I thought of. Hope this helps you out by giving me some ideas as to what I should change and what I ought to go with instead lol.
The build you are trying to make will probably work much better as a trickster.
Also the trozan set is a caster set, which is pretty bad if you want the build to be a 2h weapon focused build.
Btw you say you want a 2h cold damage spellbreaker, but in the grimtools it is a druid…?
If you want a cold damage Shaman, Korba set it the way to go (trickster).
For spellbreaker, check out items like chilldread mantle and frostdead cuirass.
Edit: Also if you really want a 2h cold druid, this should be a little better than your GT, but still far from perfect: https://www.grimtools.com/calc/RZRlQKP2
(I did not change devotions yet)
ah ok, I appreciate your input
and yeah I see what you mean about the caster equipment lol. Was there anything else that I might want to change?
Hmmm, so first of all do you want a 2h spellbreaker, druid, trickster or reaper?
Or just simply the best possible 2h cold melee char?
The best possible 2h cold melee is what I am shooting for actually lol.
Not sure if it’s the best, but its one of the best for sure:

It should work decently with the Winter King sword aswell, but Soulrend will be better for Spellbreaker/Reaper.
Winter King is pretty good for 2h Trickster. There is this build for that:
The build in my link.
Follow a build guide linked in this thread until you feel like you understand why they chose all of the stuff they did. Your build draft is honestly extremely terrible, but that’s okay and to be expected since you’re new. Everyone’s first few builds are always awful.
Some very basic tips for making builds:
Your build will need 80% resistance in all damage types end-game. You should choose 1-3 skills and itemize to make those skills as powerful as possible from +X to Y skill gear. You will get the proper damage type coincidentally, generally. Reducing resistances is also one of the most important things in this game. Many enemies late-game will have upwards of 100% resistance, and it’s a pretty big deal to reduce that resistance.
