I’m currently playing 2H Lightning Warder, and my plan is this. grimtools.com/calc/JVlLe5VO
(This is my first post, so I couldn’t post a direct link)
Since all of my other characters are ranged, I’m little bit lost.
My questions are,
Full Physique or 50 Physique/40 Spirit
Ultos’ set or Stormreaver & Clairvoyant’s Hat & Essence of Beronath
Savagery or Primal Strike
Spear of Heavens or other defensive devotions (ex. Behemoth)
How to get better OA
If you can give me some input, I really appreciate it.
Well i would start with primal strike and reskill to savagery endgame.
Devotion wise widow, rhowans crown and tempest are most important.
Spears of heaven is ok but not a must.
Full Physique or 50 Physique/40 Spirit Full phys. Keep some siprit only for jewlery requirements. Kepp 20 spirit just in case and see how much you need from it end game.
Ultos’ set or Stormreaver & Clairvoyant’s Hat & Essence of Beronath Ultos set allways. Reaver is more of a caster, electric dot thing.
Savagery or Primal Strike Right now, savagey. In xpac Primal strike could get interesting. Try both with Ultos.
Spear of Heavens or other defensive devotions (ex. Behemoth) In xpac you have the ultos devotion;) Easy choice and easy to get behemoth with it.
How to get better OA Get peerless eye of Beronath, Th OA and 10% crit damage are really good. And if you use full Ultos set you won’t miss the % attack speed on essence. Also try and get a badge of mastery. Of any kind, for more OA. If it has some +savagery even better. Or Direwolf medal, also very good as it now has resists on it along with OA and +Savagery.
Another word of advice is don’t use all WPS with upheval. If a WPS procs it sort of overrides upheval. Upheval has 100% to proc on crit with auto attack but if you use 3 wps those chances are much lowered. Use Feral hunger and Zollhan’s at most. Markovian advantage is pretty bad for 2h due to low animation speed.
Full phy, any 2H build ends up being either pure physical or part phys part other damage type, and going for cunning/spirit isn’t worth it for the latter.
Full Ultos only. You need one hell of an OP green boots and pants to cover for lack of resistances in Ultos set though.
Idk, the question is if your AOE satisfactory or not. If yes, then Savagery, simply because you can’t use Feral Hunger with Primal Strike.
My Ultos Warder had SotH Revenant and some points in Behe, but no Chariot. IDK which is better though.
I will add two cents by saying that you don’t need defensive devotions if you are going to be rocking full Ultos with capped resistances. Don’t waste constellation points on Benemoth or any crap like that. You are a Warder, you have crap metric ton of defenses plus Wendigo Totem on top of that. You are not going to beat Crucible Gladiator anyway (and one defensive healing proc won’t save you there anyway).
As for oa, use Savagery with Tenacity of the Boar, try squeezing at least ~100 oa from rings, get Badge of Mastery, use another belt, maybe.
I went around 10:1:2 with phys:cunning:spirit. A few points in cunning helps in the beginning of the game, when you have low oa and elemental damage.
Full Ultos is the most popular, I guess. I play with 4 Ultos + Stormreaver for more OA and skillpoints. Also allows for only +2 Savagery to teach 26/16.
Savagery
Spear + Tree of Life, Behemoth also fits.
Crazy rings is your best option. BoM with relevant skills is also BiS. Viper and Hawk mandatory.
Thanks guys for your inputs. It was very helpful to me.
I’ll try full Ultos’, and burrow pants from my other character.
As for medal, I’ll try to win a badge of mastery lottery from Angrim.
I wasn’t thinking about WPS at all, so I’ll probably just get feral hunger.
Hopefully new gears and extra lv from Ashes of Malmouth would give me a chance to beat Gladiator Crucible.
Here’s mine - http://www.grimtools.com/calc/r2Bx7zZA
Only one good MI, but still fine resists (the values on grimcalc are on average gear, In reality you can get significantly better).
I think 100lvl content will be even more challenging, even with additional gear and points.
I think there is some room for two-handed Savagery warders that focus either heavily on bleeding or on bleeding/physical with the new Avenger set/Mythical Guiliotine/Gutsmasher.
There is also new interesting Trickster set for cold Savagery.
