2H Warder...Cadence or Savagery?

Rolling a Warder and I was wondering if 2H was worth a shot. Late game all I see for a weapon is Stonefist Rebuke.

Am I wasting my time trying to go 2H? Should I just sigh and go S&B?

Savagery to take full advantage of WPS and for Might of the Bear. Cadence works better with faster weapons.

There is also Leviathan for physical

Or Ultos for lightning

If you find 2h to be not your thing you can switch easily to shield

430%+ Weapon Damage works with 2h fine as well. And Kraken devotion makes wonder with a speed of 2h.
I did phys Cadence Warder with Stonefist, it’s fine almost for all of the game content. Could be a bit tricky with resists but once you deal with it you are fine.

And yeah, you can always switch to s&b if feel squishy (I didn’t and I play HC).

What I mean by that is with 2h, it might take two non-3rd hit Cadence hits to kill something while it might take just 1 for Savagery. With a faster weapon the unevenness of Cadence gets more smoothed out.

That’s true and also sometimes you have overkill with ur 3rd hit vs trash mobs. But overall I felt much more comfortable after switching to Cadence. It has more synergy with phys dmg and overall bosses go down quicker with Cadence than with Savagery. And as far as most problems in this game comes from the bosses and not of trash mobs it’s fine to go Cadence.

If you try to build lightning/bleed dmg, Savagery definitely better but for this you’d better to go with Ultos/Bloodrager (and I haven’t it, just running trash self-found/bought items).

cadence is ok for 2 h melee but not as good as savagery line tbh…

esp savagery + transmuted blade arc is super strong… also you get free physical resistance on savagery mutator.

2h builds are awesome

2h savagery builds are even more awesome (better than Cadence, i didn’t like my 2h Cadence build)

Physical Savagery is pretty good. I play a Physical Savagery Elementalist and he is pretty OP and real fun to play with. Just get a troll smasher and you’re good to go.

I have a Tyrant’s Smasher of Fury so my attack speed is pretty decent. But i deal a lot of damage since physical has nice support in the game so i think you don’t need a lot of Attack Speed with 2h savagery

And no S&B isn’t the only way to play this game, it’s a myth on this forums that is now going to get Physical S&B axed coming patch
