500th member - bonus screenshot!

Wow! Lightning graphics look powerful! Can’t wait to see a vid too but once again thanks for feeding our hunger with the regular updates! Also am keen to see some caster/ranged action!

We are one step closer

Greetings

Pffft, I don’t think so ;<

if the forum will get 1000 member…could…we…se a teaser trailer for grim dawn ??

maybe a gameplay video…

Maybe alpha

I check this site everyday, and I’m glade to see these kinds of regular updates, I sure it’s not always easy given the large work load and no pay, but we as a community love every bit of it. Thanks!

YEA…WHAT he said :stuck_out_tongue:

Can you had some body parts to the hay bails? like an arm or a leg of someone caught in the bailing machine as they freaked out from the invasion and had an… “accident” ??

Likewise, we check the forums every day to see what you guys are saying. Without the enthusiasm of such great fans, I don’t think we could keep doing what we’re doing everyday or at least, it certainly wouldn’t be nearly as rewarding.

Well, you guys DO get paid, right? <.<

<edit> OP refers to </edit>

I understand that they live off their savings. There is a rumour, that Rhis relies on our contributions

They don’t get paid til GD is done, or you contribute.

Hah, I wish. Currently if anyone gets paid it comes out of my pocket, so there wouldn’t be much point in paying myself unless I wanted higher taxes. The core team, including myself, is working for royalty shares. So this project is definitely an investment for us and poses a real financial risk for some of us personally.

We haven’t actually used any of the pre-order money yet but some of it may be going toward a couple new armor sets soon. I was just joking about Rhis starving; he has plenty of booze to keep him going!

Lol!

I’m not really starving (or even living the hunter/gatherer lifestyle), but no, we aren’t getting paid to work on Grim Dawn, and yes, we are taking a loss in terms of our individual finances to do something we love.

How is this possible? For my part, my wife makes just enough that we can get by.

Edit: beaten by the boss man.

Edit2: the only reason I had that admittedly huge bottle of [cheap] vodka is because a friends father gave me $20 when I helped fix his car!

:furious:

Still at 519 members and it’s been several hours. This is outrageous!

Actually, I’m just crying inside because I want to see 1000 members join so we can get a video.

I just put a comment up on rpgwatch to try and drive some of the people who are reading/posting about Hazen to come check us out. Here’s hoping we see 520 soon.

Finally got around to making an account for this noble cause. I’ve been reading the TQ forums for a while but never made it to be super active so I’m trying to change that with this game. One member closer to the 1k mark, eh?

I wasn’t serious about the 1000 members to get a video. I’ll make a new one in celebration of that but I think we’ll probably release one sooner. We just want to make sure it looks decent.

So if no one is working for regular pay, then why would you have to use money specifically to create “armor sets”? Your artists work regardless, do they not?

If I’m not mistaken, I think they did mention somewhere that they’re outsourcing some work to good art designer. So that kind of work need money.
