67%+ Damage Absorption with close to 100% Uptime?

So I’m trying to theorycraft here but I’m struggling terribly to put this together. The idea was inspired by Mirror of Ereoctes, and the goal is to be as close to literally invulnerable as possible. Some important component pieces to that goal were / are:

Mythical Aldanar’s Vanity: It makes Mirror also provide Stun Immunity, and more importantly provides 19% CDR -and- -5 seconds to active skill cooldowns (33% chance on crit; 21 second recharge).
Time Dilation from the Hourglass Constellation: It provides -6 seconds to active skill cooldowns (20% on attack; 16 second recharge)
Spark of Reality: Provides +1.2 second duration to Mirror, in addition to theoretically making it an offensive buff as well.
Eternity: -1 second to active skill cooldowns (33% on crit, 4.5 second recharge)

From there, there wasn’t much more that could be done, but if we’re stacking CDR effects around a theoretical base 20 second cycle anyway, why not double dip the benefits and go Necromancer for Mark of Torment? We’ve not committed to another class other than Arcanist yet anyway, right?

Radagaan’s Mask: -1 second recharge to Mark of Torment; +12% absorption to Mark of Torment.

If you get that to 15/10, say with a Mythical White Lotus added on, you can be at 67% total absorption, with a 5.5 second duration and a 19 second recharge. Add that to the Mirror being a 4.2 second duration and a 22 second recharge, take into account that you should be getting 25% CDR from gear minimum, and should be getting at minimum -12 seconds per 20 second cycle, and it seems like you should be able to have Mark or Mirror going in alternate close to 100% of the time, right?

The trouble of course being this theoretical build is saddled with terrible damage, antisynergies everywhere, and is heavily reliant on getting frequent crits. It seems like it could easily lean into Dying God to beef up the Chaos damage bonuses even more, but Dying God is more for Pet classes, and why bother with any of this if you’re bringing around meat shields? It’s nice that you’ve got +300% chaos damage and Aether to Chaos conversion, but what are you using it on? The only thing which makes any sense from an offensive standpoint as far as I can see is AAR, but it’s still half the wrong damage type, and doesn’t benefit at all from all this CDR you’re stacking up.

So, can anyone rescue this travesty of a concept? Has anyone tried to do something like this, and is there a way to do so successfully? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Even with just ~19-20% cdr (aka highrolled offhand or normal rolled offhand + helm with cdr), TD, 12/12 mirror and 10/10 MoT and no mods you’ll only really have ~2 seconds downtime between your first mirror/mark cycle and ~8 seconds downtime on your second cycle before TD goes on cooldown again (TD will cooldown before that 8s is done so it’s a bit less) and then it alternates between those two timings assuming you spam the skills. There’s no way to reduce that second downtime by much without making your build messy as you said. Better go your usual aether route and you’ll have downtime where you’re not fighting anything anyway (so you don’t need mirror/mark) cause you have damage to kill people.

It’s possible to go perma mirror/mark but you’ll probably need star pact which will just make things even worse than what you wrote in the op.
