Yes, add more acts and eliminate the three dificulties like in POE.
How many acts are there currently? As of right now they seem arbitrarily defined so saying that the expansion “has 2 more acts” isn’t really saying much.
“Acts” was used as a familiar term from Diablo days. In terms of GD it’s a way to talk about content as it was released, though the chunks are somewhat defining.
Act 1 - kill the Warden
Act 2 - kill Crowley
Act 3 - kill the Aetherial (the Amalgamation?)
Act 4 - kill the Chthonian boss Karroz in Darkvale
Act 5 - kill Log
The Grim Dawn wiki, https://grimdawn.gamepedia.com/Grim_Dawn_Wiki, doesn’t end Act 3 with the Amalgamation, but I do. So “acts” are open to interpretation. There is no real formal demarcation of an act like in Diablo or PoE.
There are two more “acts” coming in the expansion.
Not that anything here is wrong, but ‘formally’ Act 3 concludes with Karroz in Darkvale and Act 4 concludes with Log.

shrugs open to interpretation. Originally, Cronley was just supposed to be a transition from Act 1 to Act 2, but that grew and became Act 2 , or maybe it was to be a short act?
In my mind end Act 3 was with the Amalgamation as that was were content had stopped while development continued.
I think there’s a number of threads about how people break up the “Acts”, but they are different.
Just shows that “Acts” in GD were (are?) a bit informal.

Having said all that, because I played a lot during development, the way I’ve internally set the acts is as outlined in my previous post. I’m under no delusions ( ) that that is set in stone or cannon.
