Well, I do not want to boost up the damage or stun duration of Stun Jacks.
They deal considerate damage the the stun is long enough.
The idea I have in mind is that the jacks should not go off after 1 second after you threw you them. I think they should stay a bit longer before they go off on thier own. Mabe about 5 to 10 seconds.
How does this sound? Would that be benefical or would that be entirely useless?
To me that makes them completely useless. That would mean I throw them, run around so some mobs hopefully aggro and return in time for them to go off as the mobs arrive. This tethers me to that spot for 5+ seconds instead of me being able to go wherever and use them based on the situation I find myself in.
Yeah, it would make sense since they’re basically caltrops and all, but the way the skill is currently designed, this would make it pretty hard to use.
If they lasted longer and had a proximity fuse, that might be another story.
The proximity fuse would be a good addition to my idea. Of course, without that, they would be extremly hard to use as it is already mentioned in the first post.
With on hit and proximity fuse they could work, and also be overpowered depending depending on how long they stay around.
I assume you are referring to SJ without transmuter. Imagine spamming SJ for 5-10 seconds, all of them are on the ground. Could kill a boss in an instant in crucible:D
To not make them overpowered as mentioned in the post, you could add a maximum of how many Stun Jacks can be at one time. This would prevent players from spamming Stun Jacks 100 times at one place and then luring a boss into into it. Another thing would be, that the summoning limit needs to scale up, because, as the skill is right now, you can, with further skill investment, throw more Stun Jacks. But I do not think this would be hard to do.
