A "repair all" building button?

Maybe it’s just me, or I’m blind. I don’t see a repair all-building button because I have to many buildings, and I have to click repair them individually.

Welcome to the forum. :slightly_smiling_face:

If you have enough labourers and builders they’ll do it automatically, no need to tell them to repair individually. Also make sure not to have any other building projects going on at the same time.

I also didn’t realize that the buildings would be auto-repaired as long as I had enough builders available. Late game I found myself having to individually click on 20+ buildings that all fell below the 60% threshold.

Rather than have an auto-upgrade option (or in addition), I would prefer being able to set that level at which I want builders to prioritize repairs over any other projects.

I found the auto-upgrade of residences more frustrating than helpful, personally. I’d suddenly lose resources that I was trying to save for a specific building effort. When I tried to toggle off the auto-upgrade, everything in progress was paused mid-construction and it wasn’t clear if it was still a legitimate home in this state.

I also encountered a bug, that when I toggled the auto-upgrade option off, there wasn’t actually a way to manually upgrade a residence. I would see the indicator that it was eligible for upgrade, but there was nowhere to click on the screen that actually made the upgrade happen. I managed to upgrade work buildings fine so it seemed to be a bug with residences. I tried this a few times throughout my gameplay and always encountered the same issue, so I had to keep auto-upgrade on and just deal with the unpredictable resourcing.

It’s not just a function of the number of Builders and Laborers.

They must have free time to get to the Repair list.

Repairs are always second in priority to new building projects.

If you have too many building projects placed on the map, your people will ignore repairs until all new building projects are complete.

Don’t place more building projects than your folks can complete in one year with a little time left over to make repairs.

Stop building more stuff if you get behind.

Increase the number of builders, and you will see how many you need.

Ensure you have plenty of wood, stone, wood planks etc and you will catch up. You will catch up, but you can get yourself in a bad spot if you are not careful.
