About invading armies

  1. they demanded 7742 gold. At the time, I had about 15-20k gold in my global storage and about 100k in my trading post. I’ve had times where they demanded much more gold when I had less than half of what I have now combined. Theoretically, this means you can constantly move gold to the trading post and when an invading army arrives, they’ll ask you for wayyy too few gold

  2. you can see 2 rams in the screenshot despite me not having interacted with the army notification yet. If you save the game at the moment you get the “army demands payment” notification and load that save, rams will go about their merry way, they dont care whether you pay or not. This makes army raids much easier since you dont have to deal with rams because they get taken out a whole year before the raid even starts

My god…im afraid of these men…lol

2nd time this playthrough

my hypothesis was correct, look at how little they demand when compared to how much gold I have in the trading post…

I had just about 0 gold in global storage when I got the notif

So the best solution is to store the majority of those lingots in the market?

yeah, as long as your gold isn’t stored in the global storage (aka it tells you how much gold you have in the top right of the screen and the resource tab), you can get away with paying these dudes a few dollars and they’ll back off
