About less used/liked spells

Aim of this post is to try to bring every spell/skill close to par level with other “more used” skills. I will not offer any solutions, just showing the obvious

-Lets start with IEE’s overload. Sometimes 1 pointer, sometimes it is just skipped. Almost all forum member’s explanation is this; “when you have +%1500 x damage, 12 point for +%80~ damage is very very pointless and wasted”. Maybe that spell is used for elemental dot wps proc lovers(Is there a such build in this game)?

-Raven says hi… projectile bolt is a waste (it is %40 chance miss), its heal mechanics are sometimes a waste, its trying to attack from a wall thus failing is waste. The favourite lazy pokemon master build put 14 points on it just to proc devotion skills. Good to see it in use

-Mortar Trap’s Heavy Ordnance. Actually maybe entire mortar trap. Yes with full investment you can have 3 at the same i guess? With 3, it is out of this list certainly. But whatever you invest that much in game, it either will be enough or op. But many mainly used spells do not require that investment… The big one should be not 7th or 5th shot but rather it must be a spell we can “command” with a cooldown. It is just hard in a not fun way to try to adjust big one to hit whatever you want to hit. Yes there is pet command which makes it easier but nonetheless not fun.

-PRM’s supercharged. Even entire prm dedicated build skips it and i wonder why.

-Menhir’s will or maybe arcane will, i am not sure about that maybe it is one pointer but the thing is they are waste of skill points. There is always something better to invest if you are low on skill points. Arcane will has better activate range but these skills are not always active and has some risk within. Only other skill that brings risk is Bloody Pox’s fevered rage. There is a math behind of this low on health activated spells(maybe i am missing sth?) but for a fast paced game like this i dunno. They are very arguable.

-Hellhound’s infernal breath or hellfire. This guy does not stand when he casts infernal breath. This mechanic was perfect on Titan Quest’s mod Soulvizier’s Bone Fiend’s scream. It was perfect… but not on this guy, like raven, half of range or remaining damage are wasted. Sometimes, that bast*rd uses it nicely but we cant afford “sometimes” rite? About hellfire, there is not much to say, it seems only good in hybrid pet builds which are almost non-existant in this game.

Honourable mentions: Storm totem, Briarthorn’s other two skills, blood pact, bysmiel bonds(not manipulation, it is good)

IEE is an aura, overload is one of the best sourses of elemtal DOT. Ive done a glass-canon DOT SS spellbreacker and it was glorius, too bad i 1-shot him on reflect mob.

My only problem with mortar`s is that they are so slow, its not fun >_>

Arcane will is too strong for 1-pointer, if they nerf mana regen at low level and increase it scaling it would be a better investment.

Can you share the link, i would wanna try that =)

Cant share the exact build- well, he is dead  He used the famous Scytne and some second-rated equipment, the only notable was a Glacial cronley sighnet of atack .
