About %pierce damage

Reaver’s Claw does 33% piercing damage. Does this mean that 33% of the raw physical damage it deals out will be piercing?

On temporal arcblade which deals Physical + aether it has 10% piercing, does this mean 10% of the total sum of the damage types?

If i have IEE up, and have reaver’s claw equipped then IEE will only work on 67% of the raw weapon damage right (assuming 33% does indeed convert raw weapon damage into piercing)?

AFAIK only physical is coverted to pierce and I think it is the last conversion to take place.

Does it only convert weapon damage or all physical damage?

Also,

does 33% piercing mean 33% conversion?

if a weapon has 30% physical converted to aether then which one takes place first?

Armor piercing is its own stat, it’s not “Conversion”. It only applies to physical damage afaik. And as I said above, Armor Piercing is last. All other conversions happen before armor piercing.

It works like this % piercing happens after everything else.
Using your numbers the physical damage on your attacks will be converted like this : 30% aether, (70*33)=23.1% piercing and 46.9% physical.
Add on 20% fire conversion and it be: 30% aether 20% fire 16.5% piercing and 33.5% physical.

It %piercing does effect damage granted by skill attacks there’s a post by a dev that shows this is the case as with a 100% piecing 2handed sword Forcewave does pure piercing damage.

Yeah Zantai made it.

Now thinks are pretty clear for one weapon, but I don’t know what happens to spells when you have two weapons with different %armor piercing. For example dual wielding swords and casting a Grenado.

Grenado has no weapon damage % so it doesn’t do anything.

Thanks you guys cleared things up nicely.

Now, off-topic does solael’s constellation’s eldritch fire’s “-x% Chaos resist” and solael’s flame’s “-x% max chaos resist”. How do they interact?

The skill granted by Belgothian relic does it proc off only on DW or can it work with Sword and Board combo as well?

  1. They stack. -% debuff stacks with itself. Only type that does that

2.It requires DW afaik. I think the relic states this

It does.

Zantai showed a two-hander weapon with 100% armor piercing, and the damage breakdown for Forcewave only showed piercing damage. Conversion works on everything, not only on weapon damage. Otherwise Warpfire would be useless.

…Forcewave has % Weapon Damage. :stuck_out_tongue:

But yes, apparently % Armor Piercing does indeed convert regardless of %WD…but it happens last.
