Well since it was topic of Reapers and WH, I thought you clubbed them into one like I did
Anyways, Witch Hunte does struggle a little against damage when compared to soldier but it is hardly noticeable on super-optimized Witch Hunter like SS WH, DEE WH
Crucible is the only place where this would be evident otherwise in vanilla I’d say only Grava and Kuba are capable of giving you some headache.
Yes ive played one, it did 150k poison ticks and 120k direct dmg from SS, melting stuff rather well. Did you see lvl92 life rolls on green stuf? You can gain 1.5k HP from bloodletters/palladin/ancient of liferoll suffix on boots/shoulders loosing literaly nothing in terms of Dmg. Why are you obessed with T3 conselation? Need moar dmg? Just forget about it. Every build sits above 1500%increased dmg without them, you can safely pick Solemn+4 points Targo to fix DA/health/resistances. http://www.grimtools.com/calc/8NK4mPx2 heck you dont even need Vile eruption with 6 metre RoS
Absurd loads of poison/acid resist on every single piece of applicable gear changed
Harbinger of Souls buffs - maybe add OA and %acid damage
Something done to ABB OR add some dw value to necro weapon damage. Leveling up bone harvest being suboptimal in a build about bone harvest is kinda silly.
ABB/lethal assault only buffs a very little amount for acid/poison. (still the best skill though playing 2H nightblade)
Shadow Strike unless you Refer to max. level equippment is waste to play it 2H as dw beats during that leveling process by far (twice the same weapon ratio, everything on your equippment that is applied through weapon attacks counts literally double)
lets say you have a medal that adds 20 acid/poison damage on your attacks, thats 40 going dual wield before even counting shadowstrike’s strong % weapon damage factor
no other 2H useable nightblade skill does acid/poison if you don’t add it with a weapon so you’re better off goin dw and using Nidalla’s Hidden Hand.
as i already said dw acid/poison witchhunter feels lacking compared to vitality (cold) witch hunter (reaper) and ABB + merciless repertoire are underwhelming to pick nightblade for an acid/poison based caster.
outside the acid/poison aspect: sure 2H nightblade is not terrible bad but still could use some tweaks to make it more appealing compared to dualwield.
It’s good, but if no it’s still fine. I don’t think they’re main problems of DW necro. It is just lack of proper gears to build around and necro mastery is still not provide enough benefit for melee/range auto-attacker.
PS. During pre-xpac, S&B and DW are far better than 2H. So I don’t think devs will buff any 1H/DW mechanic so soon/
I tested many build and so far 2000% or close seems to be the best spot. Otherwise I feel like the damage is bad. Just my opinion though.
When i test a build I start from the last waypoint of the expansion and go kill the end boss. After that I try against Fabius. So the damage and the survivability have to be good for that minimum.
I didn’t see your build in action, I also have a acid/poison dualwield build, but it’s a spellbreaker.
Here a video of my current gear/skill: https://youtu.be/C5eENxAFpe4
He still need upgrades but it’s pretty solid already. Need to fix chaos resist for exemple and I’d like to use one arcane spark for the energy regen.
UPDATE : I fixed my energy problem by putting more points into Mental Alacrity (at lvl 4) and Iskandra Elemental Exchange (at lvl 9, might test to see if less would be ok but what matters is it fix the problem right? ). Also Slighty Different Devotion for a bit more DA (Now a few points frop 2.6k). Also a bit more HP! http://www.grimtools.com/calc/4NOQWYaV
Maybe not EVERY mastery but atleast they should do something to ABB. Its a dps loss when used as an auto attack replacer for DW builds. In the DW class. lol.
Why they are lacking? Tell devs to design and implement poison weapons such as indonesian kris sword and caribean blowpipe first, then test those weapons dps through poison damage over time.
Kris sword = 1 handed melee weapon
blowpipe = 2 handed ranged weapon
P.S. Both have weaker physical damage stats, for balance due to higher poison damage over time.
