Add an ingame watch?

An ingame watch would be good to have to know for how long you have been playing, and to keep an eye on when a new attack on the settlement will be likely

You have the seasons indicator which tells you what part of a particular year you’re in. Or do you mean something different?

Yes, I mean like a timer. Might be included in the info that appears using the ‘E’ button or under its own button. Just stating the time you have played the game, i.e. 6h 54 min (06:54) .

EDIT: Played the game = Played on the current village you are building (not the total time in the game as such)

It’s not really ‘in-game’, but the indicator for the Save File in the Main Menu includes a notation on what year you are on and how many hours you’ve spent playing that particular game, as well as your current population in that game.
