It is really annoying that i have to log in multiple characters to exhaust their individual iron when crafting.
Having all iron acquiried go into a shared pool would be a great QoL addition.
At the point where you need 50+ mil iron to craft boots i consider this a much needed addition (combined with the dozens of possible characters build).
Or maybe let us purchase a Revered reputation item from the Outcast that has 100% resale value and is stashable, if just adding a shared iron function would be a pain. Something as straightforward as a “Pulsating Ruby” that’s worth 1m Iron and may possess the shopkeeper it’s sold to.
Eh… I’d prefer a shared iron bank. I use LAN MP to trade my iron between characters and it’s a pain. I would definitely love a way to pool it together where everyone can access it or make trading between them easier.
Still not sure why this wasn’t added with latest patches. Instead players jump thru unnecessary hoops to transfer funds thru multiplayer. I mean, it’s definitely not a fear of players padding their new character’s progression with money, since you can just throw a lot of items in shared stash for your new character to vendor them.
If they implement that, we’ll be one step closer to two handed shields.
This idea gets a +1 from me too.
I know two handed shields will never happen, but I’ll spam it anyway, maybe someone from Crate will eventually say “Hey! That retard USER_NAME_01 actually has a nice idea with that. We will make two handed shields in our next expansion!”. Don’t mind me.
There’s one possible downside to shared iron as DaShiv pointed out in Night King regarding crafting Master’s Spellblade w/ level 12 toons to get better abilities.
Kinda exploit, but then again spending literally millions to craft best possible result ain’t something I’d consider fun.
Well there’s always the joy one gets from finally crafting Stonehide of Kings…
Or it also could be an Ultimate exclusive quest - lets say an NPC wants to build a secure network in the post GD world offering “bank” services and asks you to help him with 1mil iron to start out
Thus you avoid exploits, you add a cost to it and you connect it to the game world.
