So, in a previous thread of mine a bunch of trusted peoples advertised a poison/cold WH. Problem is, that I’m not used to this type of builds, and my only “poison” character until now was precisely a WH with almost all -of Blight items. While effective, i don’t think this was the build such guys were referring to.
Poison/cold WH, or a full poison stacking dw one.
I only need some general advices: devotions I can figure out by myself, stats also, but for skills and gear i could really use some suggestions (especially the latter)
I recommend dreegs kiss. I run a variation of it and it is a very mean build. The only thing have trouble with now is mad queen on ultimate but I can face tank sentinel and all nemeses no problem. It’s a very fun and active poison stacking build
Maybe those are not the build i was looking for, but at least i have gathered some ideas.
EDIT: There’s something strange about the Queen’damage.
I just tried with a softcore blademaster. I used various setups (more/less armor, DA, resistances), yet I was taking almost the same damage each time?
what kind of build are you looking for? maybe it doesn’t have to be a WH poison build.
I got a couple of builds which are really powerfull some are gear specific and require a good amount of farming others are just focused on maxing out a skill and dealing huge damage

Sadly i’m just looking for a dw poison (and maybe cold) wh that actually dw. I have tried a good number of builds with excellent results and, as stated above, even a poison WH that, while wielding two weapons, was still a proc-based char.
Now, i just want one that actually “melee”.
Because of the nature of stacking poison it is almost impossible to have a poison based character that only with lmb. You have to have many sources of poison to stack to sufficient levels to be viable. This means procs, multiple skills and such.
Search for a build that I posted a while ago called “cage malignant bodyguard of dreeg”. It was a poison BM that sounds a lot like what you are wanting. I had to give up on it, it just was not strong enough offensively or defensively
Edit* also you absolutely do not need a single piece of the dreegs set for a poison build. Not one.
A few of her attacks are % hp based to my knowledge and she also has a nasty life leech attack so that’s why the incoming damage isn’t changing. Not too many options for the life leech resistance which is knocked down to -25% on ultimate. Purified salt, vulture/ulo devos, a few rings are all that comes to mind. Not that you need them though
I think it was General Cash who mentioned poison/cold WH, which he described as somewhat similar to jajajas rng spellbreaker build. I took that to mean a SS/NJE heavy spec probably using most of the Deathmark set and the typical poison devotions.
It’s pretty nice now to be able to link the Manticore proc to CoF and I like Tainted Eruption on Shadow Strike but preferences vary ofc.
Dreegs kiss is an excellent build for poison. It’s definitely a glass cannon but huge screen clearing speed. If you are looking for something tankier you can see my Chaos based Witch Hunter build listed in my signature. I have a poised based build as well but I am not sure if I will bother posting since it’s pretty similar to Dreeg’s kiss just different gear. For farming though I much prefer my Chaos build.
I tried doing a cold and poison as well as a pierce and poison build but the devotions and gear make this very difficult if not impossible to do well. I imagine by sacrificing the offensive devotions and finding very specific green items or by mixing and matching legendary’s/epics that focus on one or the other it could probably be done.
