Advice on 2 handed chaos witchblade

Hello all,

I’m looking for some help with my 2 handed chaos damage witchblade.

I’ve not yet played a soldier, but have a solid grasp of occultist from previous builds.

I’m currently looking at this set-up;

50/50 occult
12 Solael’s Witchfire +12 Second Rite
12 Sigil of Consumption + 12 Destruction
12 Possession
16 Blood of Dreeg + 12 Aspect of Guardian

20/50 Solider
12 Fighting Spirit
16 Menhirs Will
10 Military Conditioning
16 Blade Arc
6 War Cry

Devotions (not in order and after respecs)
Gallows
Eel
Viper
Jackal
Scorpion
Solael’s Witch Blade
Behemoth
Dying God
Kraken
8 points left

Making use of blade arc as my LMB skill, with warcry for debuffing & SoC for static fights and times I need more vit damage.
I’ll have chaos strike in via component too for getting into packs fast.

What I’m not sure about is;

  • blade arc vs Cadence+solider passives. (which is better overall)
  • Where to spend the remaining devotion points.
  • Where to spend the stat points.
  • Do you aim for a physical damage weapon to convert or one of the freaky base chaos damage 2 handers?

Any input would be most welcome.

I wouldn’t spend a lot of points into Fighting Spirit. At least 5 is enough for a good chunk of OA + proc. Invest some more mastery points into Soldier for Squad Tactics since it gives 10% attack speed at max. Take some points out of Menhirs Will, you don’t really need to max that out unless you want to upkeep with Dying God skill’s health cost.

I personally don’t use Menhirs Will since I have Dreeg w/ Behemoth and Turtle Devotion skills for my heal + emergency shield.

For stat points, invest majority of your points into Physique since armor requires a shit ton of them. You should spend your remaining Devotion points into defensive ones such as Empty Throne and Crane.

I wasn’t sure how well the solider passives scale and suitable ranks since I’ve not played one before.

squad tatics was on my radar, but i wasn’t sure if dropping the passives lower to reach it would be ok, glad to hear you think it is.
