What is a good Aether caster build? Something Ive really wanted to try but it seems like one of the least used damage types.
Check spellbinder builds in the compendium.
Look at the compendium lists. If there’s “spellbinder” and “aether” in the build description then it’s automatically godlike.
… except one particular Battlemage
I actually found one of veretragna’s builds thats a battlemage that just spams meteors. Tossed the loadup into a test character and I love it most even compared to the spellbinders I tested after your guys suggestion. What I am curious about now is if its best as a battlemage or if its possible to tweak it into a spellbinder (if I even should)

If you want to use it in main campaign, then Battlemage is godlike as is.
If you want to use it in Gladiator Crucible, I think it’s better to use prepared spellbinder than using this battlemage. It needs a huge rework to perform in Crucible as a spellbinder.
