honestly with aether infiltrator i’d go either aether shadow strike or aether ring of steel conduit rather than aether word of pain one, with ele to aether conversion coming from magelord rings and ascended shoulderplate.
Aether Infiltrator - Word of Pain tested (Blaze Herald, buffed Runic Whisper). Damage is way too low
The above posters already noted on how incredible Aether Infiltrator with Blaze Herald is in general, but Aether Word of Pain is not what you use that item for. The Word of Pain modifier is probably pointless, TBH, unless the OA debuff is considerable for players who are lacking in DA.
I haven’t seen an Aether WoP build in a really long time, if ever, so I went ahead and constructed one to see how well it fares:
Getting points in Word of Agony for Aether builds is a rough proposition (can we haz Aether damage on Cartosian Scrolls, please?), but otherwise - when combined with Panetti’s - the screen-wide clear potential for WoP is really nice. I think Aether WoP is fine, as long as you build properly for it.

the wop modifier used to have aether RR too, which proved too handy i guess 
and got removed
i think the dmg mods and OA shred is fine, keeping mind the items also has more than just endgame potential, so adds in levelling utility.
for endgame it’s almost freebie softcap dmg bonus, so 10pts “saved”/extras worth, which probably isnt’ entirely shabby

Exactly. My Belgothian Blademaster even got 1-shot despite investing heavily in defense. But Crate is laughably easy if you use DOT builds.

I think this build is very half-baked. So Malice or not, it would still suck. I’m considering other build options.
