All Around Sorcerer, Looks Good (I guess?)

Build

For devotions, oklama’s lantern could be switched for another +x green one such as imp (probably i will have to do that since lantern will require off hand). I tried to get as much as OA (hawk, chariot, lantern, jackal) and bonus damage(fissure, ulzuin’s torch, lantern, jackal, owl) while not forgetting survival aspects (chariot, behemoth and turtle)

For skills, there can be small swaps between ulzuin’s chosen, searing light, temper and elemental overload.

For attribute points, i tried to get a little cunning for items and oa/da. Maybe i should swap those for psychique?

Edit:

I think, i made a better one. This will work marvelous with +x skills coming from item
New One
Combined of small boosts from one pointers with +x items, this will be a solid one

No cunning needed for OA DA. Don’t at most go spirit +physique if not full Physique. But not cunning, not for Sorceror anyway.

Pro tip…put Imp devotion on canister bomb and watch the chaos unleash. It works wonders because:

  1. It will have 100% chance on cannister
  2. It will work per piece of shrapnel explosive from cannister. It works like this because the fragments explode in succession. If all exploded at once then you would get just one imp proc. But since it’s in sucession you get a pool of impfire procs and it’s devastating.

rearranged skills. Maxed mastery in Arcanist. You need Blast shield if you hope to survive late game, at least if you want to do it woithout too much hardship, it’s very good. Put some points in reckless power for impfire. not sure on your equippment choci but the skills from which i subtracted I would expect to be 12/12 or close with + skills. Heavy Ornance won’t help you much since you are not elemntalist so I dropped that. Forexample elemental balance is optimal at 10/12 or12/12 with + skills. So is inner focus etc.Ulzuins chosenis compatible with exclusive skills like reckless power. It’s a passive

Thanks for the feedback friend. I wanted to get temper for mortar trap, the big one and improved casing. So it effects 3 things which are main source of damages .Can i ask why we ruled that out?.

I understand the reason leaving heavy ordinance actually but maybe the problem is my logic does not match game logic. I can boost it with flame touched and elemental overload, why do you think i should not use it? Does the game force me to choose shaman as secondary when i attack with lightning? Is there a reason behind that? Or you thought the lightning i hit will be small compared to other sources he? Don’t get me wrong i am just curious and trying to understand.

Do you think just for imp, do i have to reach 50 mastery level for Arcanist? I can boost my fire with IEE and Flame Touched… Do i need that damage? and sacrifice lots of other skill boosts while trying to reach top.
Thank you in advance.

It’s not that the skills are bad in any way, and you can use them if you want. The problem is that your skills were very spread out. Cannister bomb and Mortar trap require a lot of dedication to work properly.

Temper . Leave at 1 point. Fire and physical is hard to gear for, and devotions for this are far apart. You will have a much easier life for your sorceror if you go Fire>Lighting >and some Aether should you chose that route.

Overload. Big skill sink for low %damage end game. You will have like 1000% fire damage. Investing 12 skills for maybe an extra 100%, which means 10% overall increase end game, is just not worth it. Put 1 point and let + skills do the work.

You don’t have to go reckless power for impfire. It has fire damage too and is very much worth putting on cannister bomb regardless. i love it. You need to see it first to understand.

Mastery bar. Sorcerer is very squishy. you can use Arcanist mastery up until lvl 32 or 40 at least. If you don’t use Blast shield/flashbang and mirror properly it will be frustrating. Played right Sorceror can tank quite well.

Bellow is a build similar to yours made by Duck_King. It’s a Nuker build with dedicated mortar (so it has heavy ordnance) and devastation. No cannister bomb so no impfire. He also uses Warpfire because it’s awesome for any sorceror and also converts cold to fire making Olexara Flash freeze devastating against trash with that huge debuff to fire resist. But you can get an idea of how this plays out and draw some inspiration. The grim calc link is in his video description.

I watched it a week ago. I am also looking for “fun” part . Devastation skill… i used it before and i don’t want it in this build. Let me try this,

Also one question, In the tooltip of Heavy Ordnance, it says %x fire and psychical damage. Doesn’t it increase main damage spell?

It should work for “the big one” as well as the main Spell mortar just as static strike works for brimstone too not just the ones before it in the skill line.
