Why is the conversion on the scepter cold to aether? The modifier on the scepter already converts all of the cold on TSS to aether, and it’s not like there’s any cold damage on Storm Box to convert to aether. This conversion should be lightning to aether rather than cold to aether. If you’d rather keep the conversion as cold to aether then the TSS modifier should be changed to convert 100% lightning to aether.
It’d be better if the conversion on the scepter was Lighting to Aether. Because at the moment Storm Box transmuter doesn’t affect Lightning Tether (main source of DPS) and is therefor very underwhelming to use
Even with partial conversion on the scepter it’d make Storm Box’s damage worthwhile
I’d prefer that the conversion be lightning to aether as well, but for the reason that leftover lightning damage would be better supported by the set than leftover cold damage.
What if I want to use Olexra’s Flash Freeze as a support skill and I want it converted to a useful damage type? Maybe a small concern, but not useless.
We should be more concerned with the fact that a part of the set doesn’t even work well with the current conversion (see what Chthon said).
OK, why would they give you Lightning to Aether at all on this set? Its purpose is to force a Lightning/Aether synergy that they’ve been trying to push since the beginning. They’re not going to reduce it to one damage type.
The same reason why they give use elemental to physical on Spellscourge, fire to aether on Agrivix, chaos to aether on Clairvoyant, vitality to aether on Diviner, and fire to chaos on Darkblaze. It’s pretty clear that aether is meant to be the main damage type of the set, and just like all of these other existing examples, Allagast should convert a portion of the lightning to aether.
